Fortunately for us, author Lenny van Gessel turned these gems into a novel called "Bobby Dear" and shared these memories. The book retraces the footsteps of a young couple in love trying to lead a normal life under Nazi occupation. It is a celebration of courage, freedom and the determination to fight back for the sake of love, even when the stakes are high.
