With a death toll now topping one hundred and sixty, it's already one of the deadliest storms in the United States this century, in fears that
that number is expected to go higher. The insurance industry estimates damage from Heleen is likely to top thirty five billion dollars and that's just for starters. Experts say the economic hit is not yet fully known, but could have ripple effects beyond the obviously affected areas. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says Iran has made a big mistake and vow's revenge is coming.
This is a special report from ABC News. Iran targets israel I'm Michelle Franzen. Iran launching nearly two hundred missiles at Israel earlier with air siren sounding. Most were intercepted by Israel's defense system, and with the help of the US President Biden at the White House monitored the situation. Recent report from a national energy group says heat will be up about ten percent this season. The National Energy Assistance Directors Association says electric heat will cost the most, with easier hits for oil, natural gaps, and propane. Customers in the western US hit the hardest, with more than a twenty percent increase expected.

Looks like we might start with a shower in spots on Saturday, but otherwise we're looking okay with daytime highs

Minnesota Governor Tim Walls, and Ohio Senator JD. Vance taking the stage at the sole vice presidential debate hosted Vice CBS. One of the few heated exchanges came on abortion and reproductive rights. Vance, who is in the past favored a national abortion band, softened his stayants to try to align with Trump. Many voters are not happy with either presidential nominee or their major political parties in the United States, but support for America to establish a third party is beginning to erode. A new Gallup poll finds still that a majority of Americans fifty eight percent, want another option on the ballot.

One of the doctors accused of providing fatal drugs to friend star Matthew Perry will admit to charges in court today.
Doctor Mark Chavez was a San Diego physician now charged with illegally distributing ketamine that went to a doctor and then to Matthew Perry. Chavez has closed his doctor's office, given up his medical license, and will today tell a federal judge she is pleading guilty. His attorney says Chavez deeply regrets providing katamine for Matthew Perry's use and takes full responsibility. When sentenced. Chavez could get ten years in federal prison. trouble is headed likely for Sean Colmes. Lawyers for alleged victims of Combs say they planned to file more than one hundred additional sexual assault lawsuits against the rapper known as Diddy in the coming days. Prosecutors say some of the assaults occurred during the music mogul's infamous white parties and involved victims as young as nine and fourteen years old.
