And center deja vu from Karen Reid's first trial as former Kenton police officer, Paul Gallagher showed video of him using a leaf blower to clear off snow, revealing evidence like this broken coctcol glass where John O'Keefe's body was found.
What was the benefit of a leaf blower over a shovel.
I wasn't going to miss anything with a leaf blow much better control Gallagher's head. He processed the scene with makeshift materials, like collecting blood in solo cups and stop and shop bags because state police weren't yet able to respond in the blizzard at this point as you assessed the area, whether this was a criminal investigation.

Kenton police later recused themselves because one of their detectives is the homeowner's brother. Conflicts of interest were a big focus of cross examination.
Monday, The CBS News Boston's Christina rex Court is back in session in detam later this morning. More cuts are coming to the Pentagon. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth says he's already he's ready to bring a chainsaw to the highest levels of the US military, with a target of twenty percent cutbacks among four star generals and admirals, with a corresponding move in the US National Guard. The cuts are being pitched as a way to slim down a bloated
bureaucracy and cut down on redundancies. Hegseth also says he plans to eliminate ten percent of lower ranking generals and admirals as well. It's not clear if the reductions will happen immediately or over time. College of Cardinals gets ready to pick a pope during a conclave inside the Sistine Chapel, which begins tomorrow. Back home, President Trump distances himself from the recent White House post showing the President dressed as
the pontiff. The President says he did not release it and knows nothing about what he believes is an artificially intelligence generated photo, but says it's not serious and Catholics who are upset can't take a joke. He says, seems like Mother's Day week is always a mess here in Greater Boston, and that's important to know because we've certainly had our share of rain, and it was several years ago, of course, we had that historic week of Mother's Day
where it did nothing but downpour the entire week. It's not going to be that bad this week, but it's not going to be all that great either, And keep in mind on Mother's Day, that's the next day we're going to see any significant chance of sunshine. Right now in Boston, it's raining. It's fifty degrees right now, on and off showers this morning and again this afternoon, with possibly some heavy downpours on the way later today. It will be milder today than yesterday, with highs in the
lower sixties. Overnight tonight, cloudy, couple of showers, lows in the fifties. Tomorrow, We're holding out some hope that we might see some breaks of sun, but don't count on It looks like another mostly cloudy day with a couple of showers and thunderstorms. Highs in the lower seventies, clouds in limited sun on Thursday with a high round seventy, but right back into the rain on Friday. It even
looks like it's going to extend into Saturday. However, Mother's Day right now looks like it's going to be a pretty nice day coming up for us to round out the weekend. Right now in Boston, it doesn't seem like there's any hope on this Tuesday morning. Clouds, fog, and showers. It's fifty degrees as we get going six oh six today. As National Teachers Appreciation Day.
It's part of a whole week of celebrations for our nation's leaders in the classroom. Appreciation Day is always held on the Tuesday of the first full week in May. The day dates back to nineteen fifty three, when Eleanoris Roosevelt urged Congress to set aside a day specifically for the teachers to honor the essential role they play in shaping the future of young learners in the US. Allmakers on Beacon Hill, now overseeing the disastrous rollout of the MBTA's South Coast Rail system, say they need more than just an apology of free weekend trips to make up for canceled trains. Right after the launch of the billion dollar corridor, the Senate Audit Committee highlights the staffing issues at contractor Kiolis, which put it in a bind.
Officials at the State House agree that staffing may have been and may be an issue, but the South Coast Rail did not have enough flexibility options to be able to pivot on the fly. Banks are harder to find these days in Greater Boston.
The lights are still on at this Santander branch on Congress Street, but it's said to be among the six that are closing soon in the base state and twelve others in the northeast. That's according to the Business journal SO, which says branches at Middleton, Norwell, Salem, Uburn, and Wooster are also on the chopping block. Two years ago, Santander closed sixteen branches. The reason more customers opting to do their business online rather than in person. In the Fort
Point neighborhood. James throhas w b Z, Boston's NewsRadio Nurses are stuck between orock and a hard place. New survey reveals that most urns in Massachusetts say the quality of care is negatively impacted. About half say it's much worse now than during the years of the pandemic. The poll by Beacon Research says much of what's keeping nurses up at night as a lack of staffing or understaffing issues. Nearly seven and ten say workplace violence and abuse is
a big problem. In More than three quarters say they've told lawmakers on Beacon Hill about this until they're blue in the face, but they are disappointed about the lack of concern.
