We're getting started this final

day of October on the right note. You're gonna see plenty of sunshine mixing with clouds today, temperatures well into the seventies at the very least, maybe the low eighties in your neighborhood. And even for trick or treat hours tonight around sundown, we are expecting temperatures to only be just a tick below seventy, so no layers for the kids doing the candy walk tonight. Tomorrow, clouds in a shower early in the day, and we certainly do need

the rain. In fact, the drought monitor will be updated later on this morning. We are expecting to see some sunshine though tomorrow afternoon as high temperatures again jump into the seventies. Much more seasonable weather for this weekend, with a mix of sun and clouds, mostly highs in the fifties coming right up right now. It's fifty eight clear skies. The uptick in cases of walking pneumonia has been huge this year, the CDC saying there have been increases across all age groups from March thirty first to October fifth. Infection rates for children peaked in August, and the biggest increases were seen in young people ages five to seventeen. That age bracket also saw the biggest percentage of pneumonia

related emergency room visits at seven point four percent. There's no specific explanation on the increases in children, however, doctors have suggested remote schooling during the pandemic hindered children's ability to develop immunity against the walking pneumonia bacteria.
