Forty two degrees with some showers in Boston at six o'clock. Good morning, I'm Charlie Burger on. Here's what's happening, and if you're traveling today, you may want to allow for a little extra time to get to your destination. Rain for much of Thanksgiving Day, it dries out with sunshine returning tomorrow. Yeah, it looks like it's going to be pretty nasty this afternoon. Some heavy rain coming through. Joe Lundberg and the Acua of the forecast on the way.

A pair of high school football rivalries settle the score at Fenway Park. It's wbez's Jared Brosman.

On Wednesday night, Central Catholic took on Lawrence on the makeshift football field in the middle of Fenway Park. Ahead of the game, Lawrence head coach Emilio Cologne said, it was a special moment for everyone involved.

It's amazing. It's an amazing event for the kids. It's something that they lovely going to forget I was. I had the privilege of being here a couple of years ago as an official. I refereed the end of the north end of a game, so it was an experience I never forget. And I'm sure the kids will not forget.

Unfortunately for Lawrence, Central Catholic got the win thirty four to twelve. Afterwards, it was a north Shore showdown between Swapskit and Marblehead, the magicians making some magic under the Fenway lights, beating swaps Get forty two to six, and marble head Head coach Jim Rudloff was able to return to the sidelines after the teacher strikes Intown ended on Tuesday night. South Coast Cape in the Islands will be in the mid fifties, but only about forty north and west of four ninety five, and that's where the concern is about travel with those colder temperatures. It's breezy, it's clearing out overnight. Tonight we'll drop back to about freezing and then tomorrow sunshine, clouds, breezy, high forty five. Same deal for Saturday and then Sunday, sun clouds and little cool are only about forty for a high on Sunday.

Thirty five degrees this morning and dry for now in Easton getting some showers right now around the Lowell area where it is thirty six, and then a little bit further north at least for the moment, dry round the Salisbury area, but rain is coming thirty five there and in Boston forty two degrees at six oh five South Station among the hubs of pre holiday madnesses. For so many it's a time to step away from the normal routine of going to work and instead spend the day hanging out with family and eating a lot of food. Easily.

A contractor stringing holiday lights in a Wellesley neighborhood wound up shocked and needing a defibrillator to revive him. This was said about ten o'clock yesterday morning outside a home on Falmath Circle, as the man was installing lights on a large tree. Police figure the pole he was using either got too close or came in contact with an electrical line. He was initially rushed to Newton Wesley Hospital,

then transferred to Mass General. OSHA and local authorities are investigating a driver crashes through a popular diner on the Cape at CBS Boston's Tiffany Chan.

The frightening sound of an suv barreling through this Chatham diner Wednesday morning, leaving a restaurant employee and a patron badly hurt. That patron had to be freed after being pinned by that vehicle.

This woman was working a couple down when she saw the car flying through the Shopahoy Plaza parking lot. I A Olberdett here you saw the car moving very fast. Chattam police and fire crews responded quickly towing away the suv. Now the business is cleaning up. This is a pretty busy shopping plaza on Cape Cod and many people who work here are rattled because they knew that restaurant worker who was injured here right now, we're told the driver was not injured and we were waiting on an update

on the condition of the employee and the patron. Police are investigating this crash.
