Forty eight degrees in Boston at six o'clock. Good morning, I'm Charlie Burger on here is what's happening more great leaf raking and leaf peeping weather today.

Today brings yet another sunny and warmer day to the area, with a high of seventy one to seventy five.

Early in person voting their way in Massachusetts, five ballot questions to be decided to come November fifth, with ride share drivers fighting for support on Question three. Our job getting harder and harder. I used to work forty hours, fifty hours and make a living and support my family. I have five daughters. So now we walk longer hours, we earn less and no protections.

Ahamhlali knows the struggles of the ride share drivers. The immigrant from Somalia has been a ride share driver for eight years. As Massachusetts voters headed to the poles on the first day of early voting, Hillali and his colleagues went door to door to ask voters to give them the right to form a union, something the legislature has refused to do.

Our lawmakers, they did not pass the bill. We had, the Right Share Driver Justice Bill. We have been going to the state House for eighteen months and now we're going to the ballot. We're going to the voter and asked us to give us a ride to have protection and dignity and have a living and just work like the rest of the workers in this instead.

Radio Democratic Vice presidential candidate Tim Walls will be wrapping up a busy weekend of campaigning attending a fundraiser Later today in Boston. He'll headline an afternoon reception hosted by the former US Ambassador to Spain, Alan Solomont. Location of the event revealed with an RSVP. Ticket prices range from five hundred to one hundred thousand dollars. Officials in Georgia in investigating why a crowded gangway on Sappelo Island collapsed.

Pepin says a male employee followed her family, at one point attempting to grab their strollers, accusing them of stealing.

According to the Danvers police officer responding to the fight that day, the employee quote was the aggressor and clearly provoked the incident. Working to determine what exactly went down. In the police report, the officer recounts the farm's owner making comments like look at these people. Look at the crowd. We have plenty of problems here and you can lock

up half the crowd. The officer says, in part, it was very clear that Connors was referring to the many racial minorities in the crowd and insinuating that they were criminals, this leaving customers concerned.

A spokesperson from the farm told WBZ Connor's Farm takes these allegations very seriously and is actively investigating the matter.

It's wbztvs. Samantha Cheney reporting the Berkshire District Attorney's Office ruling out prosecuting former private school history teacher Matthew Rutledge for sexual misconduct. Rutlige is accused of grooming and sexually assaulting five women when they were students at Miss Hall's School in Pittsfield. He resigned from the school back in March at least two of the women claimed the abuse started when they were fourteen and fifteen years old. The

legal age of sexual consent in Massachusetts is sixteen. In a statement Friday Berkshire DA Timothy Chagru says, while the alleged behavior is profoundly troubling, it is not illegal. The attorney for the women, Eric McLeish, disagreeing with the decision, telling The Globe that none of his clients consented to have sex with Rutlich. Child advocates were shocked by the

story about sexual abuse involving thirteen children in California. They were members of the Urpin family, Their parents eventually sent to prison. The kids placed with a foster family in Riverside County, and now that couple and their daughter have pleaded guilty to child abuse charges involving nine of the children.

Rosa and Leanis Ogean got probation. Marcellino Olgein, who was also convicted of sexual assault, was sentenced to prison. A victim impact statement written by one of the victims, identified only by the initials JT, was read out loud in the courtroom.
