Good Morning sixty four with Sunshine in Boston on this Wednesday, It's eleven o'clock and we'll have the weather coming up with traffic and weather together on Laurie Kirby on the Road to the White House. Vice President Harris, who's deeped into a media blitz less than two weeks out from election day. She sat for an interview with NBC last night, and ABC's Mary Bruce tells us about.

It overnight, Harris again saying Trump tried to undo a free and fair election and that this is part of the very serious choice that is now facing voters. She was also pressed on the role sexism and racism maybe playing in this campaign, as Harris could now potentially make history, but she made it clear she's running on her record, not her identity, saying voters are making a choice based on substance, not electing someone based on gender or race.

And Vince President. Harris will appear on CNN tonight for a town hall with undecided voters from the battleground state of Pennsylvania. Meanwhile, former President Donald Trump is now battling new criticisms from his former chief of staff, John Kelly. HER's ABC Stephen Portnoy with that the.

Trump campaign furiously denies that the former president ever said what John Kelly says Trump said, But the former White House chief of Staff and retired Marine general is adamant he heard what he heard, Telling the New York Times he caught.

Lynnfield holds a public hearing tonight on controversial MBTA's zoning that The meeting is going to be held over the al Merritt Center on Market Street starting at six thirty pm. Residents of Linfield, you were urged to come out tonight and share your thoughts, your concerns, ask questions about changing the zoning in parts of town to allow for the building of multifamily units. This mandate is part of a

statewide push to create more housing near public transportation. Now town meeting votes on the controversial issue in just a few weeks. We'll have more on that as it happens. And now to Norton, and this is going, you know, town to town here. Norton is also strongly questioning the MBTA's strict new law requirements. At last night's town meeting, residents voted against approving the new zoning by laws and opted instead to table it until the spring. The select

Board voted to oppose the by law. Earlier this month, the district would have been rezoned for multi family housing right near the golf course in Norton on Route one point forty, but again they're voting to table that for a few months. Whether front, there's a hurricane in the Pacific Ocean today, Hurricane Christy, which just was strengthened to a Cat three storm by the national folks. This is

The heat is on on Beacon Hill. The Massachusetts State Auditor is accusing lawmakers of refusing to be transparent, and WBC's Mike maclin and gives us the deal.

It is immral and unethical for any politician up on Beacon Hill to withhold information about how taxpayer dollars are being spent.

State Auditor Diana Desauglio took direct aim at Hobson Senate leaders as she released a highly critical audit of the legislature, accusing them of failing to live up to their constitutional responsibilities with respect to accountability.

It is our duty as elected officials to abide by the Constitution, which says that we are at all times accountable to the people.

Legislative leaders fired back, accusing Dizaglio of political grand standing and trying to violate the separation of powers in state government.

Whimsay based Stop and Shop is closing eight Massachusetts stores by the end of this moth and now we have the list. Stop and Shop is closing supermarkets in Brockton, Raynham, Halifax, Shrewsbury and Newton, and is shutting down one of their two stores in Springfield, the one on Cooley Street. The Stop and Shop on West Boylston and Woocester is closing. The Stop and Shop on Mattachisaid Street in Pembroke is closing. And the closures come amid a wave of retail endings

from bob stores to Christmas tree shops. We saw big lots, bed bath and beyond going to the great retail beyond. But it could be coming back like a phoenix. Apparently there's reports of that as well. We'll see. Okay, just when you thought I'm going to the drive through and getting me a burger, health officials link Mickey DA's quarter pounders to a deadly e Coli outbreak. I want to add this that we don't have any Massachusetts stats supporting

anybody getting sick here. We're looking into it. Brian Shook has more.

On Tuesday, this announced they're working with McDonald's to determine what ingredient in the burgers was contaminated. The fast food chain has halted use of fresh onions and quarter pound beef patties in several states as a precaution. At least forty nine people in ten different states were sickened, and one person has died. Cases have been reported in Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Oregon, Utah, Wisconsin, and Wyoming. I'm Brian Shook.
