A judge in Georgia blocks a controversial rule that could slow the counting of ballots. ABC Stephen Portnoy has more.
It's the second major election related ruling this week from Georgia State Judge Robert McBurney. Monday, he ruled the counties have no choice but to sert of the results now. He says the state election board cannot require poll workers to hand count the number of ballots to ensure that tallly matches a machine tabulation. Judge mcburne says that rule was adopted too close to the election, without leaving enough time to train poll workers.
The rule was originally enacted by a Trump endorsed majority in the state's election board, and one sitting and two former presidents will attend a memorial service in Washington, d C. I'm Vickie Barker in London, where researchers commissioned by the aviation industry here have found no evidence that nut allergans can be spread through an aircraft's ventilation system, but clear evidence that they can stick to seats, tray tables, and screens, so instead of onboard announcements ordering passengers not to consume nuts, passengers with severe nut allergies would be better served by making sure their seat area has been wiped clean.
