I'm Laurie Kirby. We start in New York a day in court for hip hop legend Sean did He Combs. We're now getting our first look at the federal charges against him. We get more now in the special report from CBS News.

Combs has been indicted on federal sex trafficking and racketeering charges. Corresponded Jureka Duncan from US District Court in New York.

The opening line in this indictment says, for decades, Shawn Combe's abuse threatened, coerced women and others around him to fulfill his sexual desires, protect his reputation, and conceal his conduct.

He's accused of in using female victims and male sex workers into drugged up, sometimes days long sexual performance. It's celebrity attorney Chris Melcher.

Boston police are investigating a double shooting that left a baby critically injured and sent a woman to the hospital. Boston Police Commissioner Michael Cox.

This is a pretty heinous act in general, pretty cowardly. I can't think of any reason why somebody would one issue both a female and a young child for any reason. So we really need the public's health and support on this one.

Police found the victims in a driveway late last night, not far from heron b Park. The search goes on for suspects, a motive, and so far no arrest. The apparent attempt on former Trump's President Trump's life over the weekend has some leaders on Capitol Hill today casting new doubts on the Secret Service. ABC's Peter Thomas with that story.

Majority leader Chuck Schumer is challenging Republicans to support the bill, which aims to secure nationwide IVF access and expand fertility care. It comes to mid former President Trump's recent endorsements of IVF support, but Republicans are expected to block the bill again while pushing their own IVF

New research shows that being pregnant affects almost every part of the brain. Here's more.

University of California neuroscientist Liz Chastro and her team kicked off the study by studying her before, during, and after pregnancy twenty six brain scans. They discovered the pathways that link areas of the brain were enhanced during pregnancy, then returned to normal. More than eighty percent of the regions they studied where thinking takes place had reductions in gray matter. Those areas are important in social cognition, or how people

interact with others and understand thoughts and feelings. The transition to motherhood, the early research results show, is indeed profound. Michael Toscano, CBS News.
