Statement from a White House official from not long ago saying, quote, the United States has indications that Iran is preparing to eminently launch a ballistic missile attack against Israel. That White House official going on to say that we are actively supporting defensive preparations to defend Israel against the attack.
The official says Iran would face severe consequences if it were to launch a strike on Israel. These developments this morning come after Israel announced it had launched a ground operation into southern Lebanon over night. Israeli military's oaksman Daniel Hagari says troops uncovered a plot by hesbalan launch an attack on Israel similar to the one by Hamas on October seventh.

It's the first time in fifty years at workers with the
International long Shortman's Association union have gone on strike. More than one hundred workers in Boston or among the rank and file walking out. WBZTV's Penny Commit continues our coverage.
As of night, the International Longshoreman Association strike has begun. That means any cargo coming into Conley Terminal here in Boston will have no one to unload it. This will likely impact many jobs, local businesses, and likely all of us at the grocery store. Roughly twenty five thousand longshoremen from fourteen ports all along the East and Gulf Coast have walked out of the job overnight, including about one
hundred and sixty employees from Conley Terminal in Boston. They're arguing for better pay and a total ban on the use of automated cranes, gates, and container moving trucks.
Economists fear the impact this strike could have on consumer prices across the nation and the final day on the job for e battled Stuart Healthcare CEO Ralph de Latouri is resigning today as Stuart hands over the keys to five hospitals in Massachusetts, and with just a month ago until the November election, VP candidates Tim Walls and Jade Events meet on the debate stage tonight in New York.

to you. But tomorrow much drier. Cloud's breaking for sun and paving the way for a couple of really nice days. And happy birthday. Jimmy Carter, the former president, turns one hundred today. ABC Stephen Osunami reports there are celebrations at his presidential library in Atlanta.
Of course, President Carter started hospice care at home in February of twenty twenty three. But a reminder, this is a man who beat cancer that had spread to his liver and his brain. He tells his family he now needs to make it through the election, where unsurprisingly, he plans to vote for Kamala Harris. They will be registering people to vote here at the Carter.
Center to miss pardon me. Mister Carter is the longest living president in history, the only one to reach one hundred, and of course, he started out in life as a peanut farmer. An independent investigation is underway. Officials at Tuffts University have launched an outside look at what went wrong during a min ends lacrosse practice this month. Here's more.
It ended with nine players sent to the hospital. A Toss graduate and US Navy seal put the players to the test when several got sick, diagnosed with a condition known as RABDO, which is a muscle condition brought on by strenuous exercise and can ultimately lead to organ failure. All of the players have since recovered, the last of whom were released from the hospital last week. School officials say the results of the investigation will be made public

The FAI begins to investigate reports of a laser shining into the cockpit of an incoming flight to Logan Airport. The pilot and crew say around ten o'clock Sunday night, a green laser hit the cockpit, nine miles from the airport in Boston. Luckily, no injuries reported on board and the plane was able to land safely. But according to the FAA, this happens more than you would think more than thirteen one thousand lasers have been reported at airports across the nation in the last year. And we have
an update on a water main break in Roxbury. It was just such a mess. Workers have been able to stop the rush of water after this break. A long Tremont Street between Lennox and Northampton Street Now At one point cars were absolutely surrounded by water. Looks like traffic is flowing in one direction again.
