News, mostly sunny, forty three degrees in Boston at eleven o'clock. Hello, thanks for being with us on this Tuesday morning. I'm Sherry Small. Let's get you caught up. Here's what's happening. Karen Reid's second murder trial begins in two weeks, but today the judge is considering a number of motions from both the prosecution and the defense, including what witnesses will be allowed in the courtroom. Here's defense attorney Liz a Little.

At the first trial, members of the Albert and mccab families continued to attend court after their testimony. During closing arguments, Colin Albert, Ryan Albert, and Jennifer McCabe were all seated in the jury box with the O'Keeffe family. At least one juror who was seated in this case indicated to a reporter at Vanity Fair that she felt in terminated by their presence closing arguments.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says he ordered the strikes after Hamas refused to release more hostages. Hamas says Netanyahu has decided to overturn the ceasefire deal. Negotiations have stalled, with neither side able to agree on a path forward. Israel says this new offensive will continue as long as necessary and could expand beyond just air strikes.

The strikes come after President Trump made another demand for Hamas to release all the hostages. The EPA cus ties with its largest division, More than one thousand scientists with the Office of Research and Development, will be laid off. EPA chief Lee Zelden says he plans to cut the entire agency's budget by sixty five percent, wiping out most chemists, biologists, and some others. The breezy day today, we'll see highs in the low to mid fifties, forties over the capein Islands.

Tonight turning out clear down to thirty eight in Boston. It's going to be a chilly night, closer to thirty in some of those coldest inland suburbs.
