Speaker 1

Yeah. This is WBZ, Boston's news radio re defining local news. Clouding up in Boston where twenty seven degrees are hoh. Today thirty two, we'll talk about the snow coming up with traffic and weather together. Good morning, I'm Lorie Kirby. Ad The ceasefire between Israel and Amos appears to have hit a roadblock. How big it is is unclear, but now Prime Minister Nettan Yongo's office tells The New York Times it is unlikely his cabinet will vote on this. Today.

ABC's jo Donna Miller is in Jerusalem.

Speaker 2

A last minute snag delaying the Israeli government's vote to approve a Gaza ceasefire deal. Prime Minister Benjamin Natanielle accusing Hamas of renegging on parts of the deal after it was announced Wednesday by the US and others. Hamas denying that, but Israeli negotiator still in Doha trying to resolve the dispute, and until that weppins. Natanielle says he won't put the ceasefire deal to a government vote for approval. Geordana Miller, ABC News Jerusalem.

Speaker 1

And again you heard there, Harmas denying backing out of parts of this agreement, saying they are committed to the deal. Meantime, the reality is the bombs continue to fall in Gaza. Dozens have been killed in air strikes since the deal was first announced yesterday. If it goes through this Sunday, the deal would be carried out in three phases. It would include the release of Israeli hostages and Palestinian prisoners. Three of those hostages are American Israelis or being held

by Hamas Earlier in the war. Harmaseres released several other hostages, including Israeli American Judith Rahnan and her daughter Natalie, and they spoke about the ongoing hostage situation at a news conference yesterday, listening, I am waiting for the until the last Thoine.

Speaker 3

No one should be less today on whatever, and it's a bald ton in all.

Speaker 1

The deal calls for the release of thirty three Israeli hostages and hundreds of Palestinian prisoners. TikTok is about to be banned in the United States, But what exactly does that mean for people who already have the app. ABC's Elizabeth Shoolsey with.

Speaker 4

That Tiktok' lawyer says the app will go dark in the US on January nineteenth. That a likely me know will still be on your phone. You won't face penalties for trying to log in, but it might not actually work, and that is because the company is now reportedly planning to proactively shut down for it's more than one hundred million existing US users on Sunday, So in steady or feed, a message would pop up directing you to a website with information about the ban.

Speaker 1

The ban would come only one day before President elect Donald Trump takes the oath of office, and now one of mister Trump's advisors, Florida Congressman Mike Waltz, tells Fox News Trump is exploring ways to preserve the app. Last week, the Supreme Court heard oral arguments about the band and seemed likely to uphold it. Tonight, Governor Heely delivers her State of the Commonwealth address. This will be her second since taking office. The speech begins at seven pm before

a joint session of the Legislature. Changing conditions. Right now, we were seeing a lot more sunshine clouding up. I'm seeing mostly cloudy, and nor would twenty seven degrees you go to Plymouth mostly sunny twenty nine I'm also seeing a system with some snow on the doppler moving very close to the vineyard. And this ACU other update calls for a little snow tonight along the coastal areas, south Shore,

south coast, the Cape, and the islands. So that's new. Now, this is not going to be a big event, but it could be a slippery one because they say, well, Joe Lumberg says, and he's a meteorologist, some of the snow will be steady tonight, so if you're traveling, it could be slippery. Tomorrow, dry, mostly sunny, thirty six. We have a system this weekend too, starts his rain because it's two mile for snow. That changes Sunday and it could snow eleven oh five. Good morning, Nice to be

with you. On a Thursday, state officials are weighing some big plans for the Tobin Bridge and doubledbz's Madison Rogers tells us and might not even stay a bridge.

Speaker 3

The seventy four year old bridge that connects Charlestown and Chelsea could potentially be replaced with a tunnel. At a community meeting on the state's plan to replace the Tobin mastot officials just said it's not out of the question. In Charlestown, it seems like a good idea, but neighbors tell me their hopes aren't exactly high.

Speaker 1

That's surprising.

Speaker 5

I mean, I feel like the construction around here is endless, but nothing ever seems to help the traffic.

Speaker 3

So memories of the Big dig loom large, as they so often do. Nothings are far from set in stone. A study looking at options for the Tobin is set to continue through summer of next year. In Charlestown. I'm Madison Rogers WBZ Bustin's News Radio.

Speaker 1

And there's a new dizzying view of the new Sagamore Bridge. No, it hasn't been built yet, you know that, but it

will be built. The Transportation Department has created a virtual design of our future Sagamore Bridge on YouTube, and it feels as if you're in a helicopter flying above two separate bridges northbound and southbound on the sag And then it pans across an exit to the Market Basket connecting the mid Cape Connector and Sandwich Road, and it looks a lot like the Zacom Bridge, but double Jackie Goddard with Mas dot tells the Cape Cod Times the public

like this design best next steps well whether or not the state can build that double bridge in this locale, and that, of course involves the environmental permitting process. A famous comedian from Brookline is about to receive a prestigious honor, and here's CBS's Tipper Rodrigas naming names. This year's Mark Twain Prize for Lifetime Achievement in Comedy goes to.

Speaker 3

Clearly, you were carved out of a sausage.

Speaker 1

Conan O'Brien, Do you have a criminal rectory if you committed to failing me? I am stole a wheelchair not six years ago.

Speaker 5

In a statement, the sixty one year old funny man says he's not being honored for humor, but his work as a riverboat pilot. He'll be awarded a bronze bust of mister Twain on March twenty third. The president of the John F. Kennedy Center for Performing Arts calls Conan a master of invention and reinvention. Past recipients of the award include George Carlon, Bob Newhart, Carol Burnett, and Dave Chappelle. Deborah Rodriguez CBS News You.
