Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth facing more controversy now over reports he installed the Signal messaging app onto a computer in his office. His ABC's Nicole D'Antonio.
Eg Seth was already under fire for allegedly using Signals dish fair military attack plans in Yemen. The administration has said nothing that Hegseth shared was classified. We also know his wife, Jennifer, former Fox News producer, was among those on a signal thread discussing the attack plans, and in recent days, multiple aids to Secretary Hegseth have left, been fired or reassigned amid a leak investigation, with one describing the Pentagon as total chaos.
Meig Seth has blamed disgruntled former employees with what he calls axes to grind for going public with information about the inner workings of the Pentagon. President Trump calling on Russian President Vladimir Putin to secure peace in Ukraine. This comes hours after the Kremlin launched a deadly attack on Ukraine's most populated city.

And yesterday the President blamed Vladimir Zelenski for prolonging the war by pushing back against a peace deal put forth by the United States. That deal would have ceeded some territory to Russia, including Russian occupied Crimea and At eleven oh two, Pope Francis still lying in state inside Saint Peter's Basilica this hour, The Vatican says more than sixty thousand people have already filed past his coffin as people pay their final respects. Meantime, speculation is swirling about who
will be his successor. Here CBS's seth don't.

The Pope's funeral is set for Saturday at the Vatican for the rest of the afternoon. There is a chance we might be seeing a couple of showers. I am taking a look at the radar and seeing a couple of them popping up in parts of the Berkshires and western Massachusetts. So we'll keep an eye and see if those make their way over here toward the Boston area. Otherwise we should be seeing a mix of sun and clouds.

Boston mayoral challenger Josh Kraft now receiving an endorsement from another deep pocketed donor. Here's wbz's Jim.
McKay, Chairman of New Balanced. Jim Davis, who's got a long history as a Republican donor, is backing Joshkraft for mayor of Boston with a one million dollar donation to the Your City, Your Future super Pack. This isn't the first time Davis has put money into mayoral races in opposition of Meri Wu. He donated to other campaigns against
Michelle Woo in twenty twenty one. The pack Davis just donated to also has received six figure donations from Robert Hale of Granite Telecommunications and John Kalnanough Construction Giant JCNA Jim McKay WBZ Boston's news radio.
As of now, a handful of MBTA bus routes in the Boston area are fair free. Top officials at the TEA say that is not sustainable. They do say, though, if the entire bus network was fair free, that could actually be advantageous. You report to Beacon Hill lawmakers Lindsay Heffernan, the chief of Policy and Strategic Planning at the TEE, says this could end up leading to higher ridership. She says many commuters paying fares or will pay fares once
they get to trains or a ferry. Accessibility is also a factor, as the TEA believes de Man would skyrocket for the ride if there was no fare, and the Tea is required to offer that service free. If bus service is free, not being said, Heffernan says, would cost tens of millions of dollars every year. They would have to make sure a dedicated stream of cash is in place to cover that cost. Police are out with yet another scam warning, this one targeting the dating scene.
Officials said, beware of prowlers disguising themselves with phony dating or social media profiles, reeling in victims with love only to get us hook line and sinker in a financial scam. Officials say the fraudsters often poses members of the military and often based overseas. The takeaway is, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

By themselves, the food dies, artificial sweeteners, and emulsifiers don't pose much of a threat, French researchers say the risks arise when those additives are combined in ultra processed foods like broths, salsas, margarine, and sodas. The researcher suggests you avoid ultra processed foods as much as you can. Tuesday, Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Junior called on the food industry to stop using several artificial dyes.
