It's fifty nine oh. I just refreshed the computer light rain back in Boston. Fifty nine degrees. Told you it was coming back right away. It's eleven oh six. Back to news now, all right. Starting this weekend, the MBTA will be running slightly fewer trolleys on the Green Line this as it works to install its new safety system. Here's WBC's Kyle Bray with more.
This summer, the NBTA will be taking some trains off the tracks to equip them for its new green Line Train protection system. The system is meant to avoid collisions and improve speed enforcement. It can alert operators when they're going too fast and can even stop the trolley automatically. But to do this, they'll leave the scale back some
service by about two percent for the summer months. These Somerville residents take the green line everywhere, and they're okay with the plan definitely, especially.
If the safety is then long last date.
It's not like we fixed it for a month.
Given how long we waited to get the green line out there, I'm willing to take a little bit delays to have it run great.
The t says the system will eventually lead to better travel times because of less unplanned stops. Kyle Bray, WBZ Boston's news radio.

When Pope Leo the fourteenth was merely Father Bob Prevost, he sat in one of the seats at Radefield to cheer on the White Sox in the twenty oh five World Series. Auxiliary Bishop and Vicar General Larry Sullivan. The fact that he's a baseball fan, I think, is just speaking volumes to people who are baseball fans.
This makes them so relatable.
Pope Leo will appear during a pre mass program in a recorded video message aimed at the youth of the world. Bernie Tafoya for CBS News Chicago.
