A forensic scientist with the Massachusetts State Crime Lab is on the stand in the Karen Reid retrial. Hash Velear analyzed pieces of tail light recovered from thirty four Fairview Road in Canton. John O'Keeffe's body was found in the snow outside of that home back in twenty twenty two. Read charged with hitting him with

her SUV and leaving him to die. President Trump is on his way back to the US after a trip abroad. Here's ABC's Mary Bruce with the tails sident.

Trump wrapping up his visit to the Middle East four days three countries aimed at boosting business ties in wealthy Arab states, a region where his own family also has major financial interests. A federal judge in marylynd is set to hear arguments this afternoon over whether or not the Trump administration can invoke the state's secrets privilege, Government lawyers saying that the privilege gives them the right to withhold information about its efforts to return

a mistakenly deported man to the US. Here's CBS's Christopher Kruse.

The focus of the hearing will be the privilege, a legal doctrine that's more often used in cases involving the military and spy agencies. The judge ordered Kilmar Abrego Garcia's return from El Salvador in April, and has since directed the administration to provide documents and testimony showing what it has done, if anything, to comply without order. Trump administry Asian lawyers claim much of that information is protected by

And the Supreme Court ruled last month that the Trump administration must work to bring Abrego Garcia back, A baby with a rare genetic disorder becomes the first person ever treated with a tailor made gene therapy.

kJ Muldoon was born with CPS one deficiency, which can be fatal. He was missing an enzyme that breaks down toxins building up in his blood. Until now, the only treatment was a liver transplant, but doctors at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia told Kj's family they could try a technology called Crisper to find the one mutated gene and fix it. Kj's mother and Nicole agreed.

After three infusions to his liver, kJ is thriving. He should be home in a few weeks.

There was this coach with Danvers American Little League named Kenny Smith, a good guy, a good baseball man, one of those guys who just loved teaching kids the game.

Now cannot be romantics about baseball exactly. Coach Smith recently passed away after a lo health battle, and as his family celebrates his birthday, his widow, Tracy says they have decided to honor Ken Smith by dropping off certificates for all the Major League teams in the Danvers American Little League, so all the kids can have a big pizza party. A small lovely gesture to hear about on a Friday, right, Drew Mahall in WBZ Boston's news radio.

You might want to check the label on your energy drink. That's because an ingredient found in many of them is linked to a higher risk of blood cancers. Tourine is an amino acid that occurs naturally in parts of the human body, but it also promotes the growth of leukemia cells. It's commonly found in energy drinks, protein powders, and some foods like meat, fish, and eggs. Researchers from the University of Rochester found that those leukemia cells can use the

additional tourine to grow and spread. A new study looks at how to get picky teens to eat healthier foods.

One way to get teens who are picky eaters who expand their diets school lunches. A study by the US University of Bristol found kids who choose their own lunches at school had a more very diet than kids who ate lunches packed at home. The data also showed that kids who were picky eaters, as toddlers often stayed picky into their teen years.
