This is WBZ, Boston's news radio re defining local news.
Sonny in seventy six degrees in Boston. Is four o'clock on this Wednesday. Thanks for being with us. I'm Sherry Small, and here's what's happening. A crash reconstruction expert has been on the stand all day in the Karen Reid retrial. WBC's Emma Friedman is here with the very latest testimony. Emma, yeah, Sherry.
The defense is cross examining doctor Judson Welcher. He's been on the stand now about six hours, that's including lunch.
Though.
Robert Lessi is questioning if Welcher used multiple tests from different angles to determine that John o'keeff's injuries were from being hit by an suv, and.
Where is that consideration of other hypotheses stated in any report. It's not. I was just looking at the damage that was up on the sheet metal.
Welter says that he used the evidence to eliminate different scenarios in that was able to reject them.
I didn't come in here to tell these people what didn't happen.
I came in here to tell them what I believe happened.
ALESSI is still cross exam cross examining. Welch, you're right now. We'll bring you all the latest here on WBZ.
Sherry, thank you for that update. Protesters gather at Harvard demonstrating against the Trump Administration's battle with the university. CBS is Nicki Batiste in Cambridge.
Students gathered on Harvard's campus last night, protesting the Trump Administration's treatment.
Of the Ivy League school.
And rallying and supportive international students whose education here is in jeopardy. This country is on a very, very dangerous track. Leo Garriden is a senior from Sweden.
How are you feeling? Are you scared? When I see you? Know I'm out on the street.
The thought often comes to my head that it might be an I say, Jim.
And tomorrow lawyers for the Trump administration and herb or do back in court, going before the same judge who temporarily stopped the White House from banning foreign students at Harvard. A federal judge orders the release of a Harvard scientist in custody. Cassena Petrova is a Russian born researcher at Harvard Medical School and was detained after a federal official say she brought biological specimens into the country. She's been
in Louisiana since mid February. The Boston Globe Now reports that the judge in the case says there's no evidence to suggest that she is a security risk. However, she may not be able to return to work just yet. Federal prosecutors insist they plan on deporting her. Newton Wellesley Hospital is deemed safe after multiple investigations into seven cases of non cancerous brain tumors among staff who all worked
in the maternity unit. According to the Globe, the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and OSHA conducted thorough investigations that includes did radiation checks, equipment inspections, also testing the air and water quality. Now that followed an internal hospital review last December led by mass General Brigham's Occupational Health team. It also found no environmental risks. We did see a
beautiful warm day to day. Checking out the four day WBZ after WBZ ACU weather forecast to now, we're going to see some cloudy skies and a bit of rain late a mild overnight low of fifty eight. Tomorrow is going to be much cooler. A mix of let's see rain and drizzle than an afternoon shower, highs only reaching sixty three. Friday, we warm up, we'll see some clouds in sunshine, but another shower or two is going to
hang around. But we warmed to seventy three degrees, and unfortunately though on Saturday, this weekend pattern that we've been seeing for quite some time now is going to continue once again. It's going to be breezy with some showers and a thunderstorm in the mix, and we're gonna cool down to just the mid sixties. We're seeing sunny skies right now, seventy six degrees in Boston at four o six. Salem is known for its dark history and esthetic, but
one local guy's home looks more like Willie Wonka's. WBC's Matt Shearer has that report, what.
Are you doing here today?
Picking up girls?

This is Fred Keller, but they're all too fast. A guy I met at market basket with lots of dad jokes and a shopping car full of Eminem's.
You wouldn't believe all the eminems I have in my house.
Really Expresso Jlipano, can I come see it?
Yes?
It worked out great because he's a nearly eighty year old disabled veteran out shopping for the first time since his wife passed. He needed help carrying groceries. I needed to see this collection. Hey guys, The first room you walk into in his home is covered floor two ceiling with eminem, merch, cuckoo, clocks, sack scratches, more over here keep going. It extends into his living room, dining room. He even has entire closets full of rare eminem flavors.
But he's not trying to get rich here. This is just something to bring him a little joy. It costs nothing to be polite. Matt Sheer WBZ, Boston's news Radio.
And you can check out Matt's full eminem adventure that's on our TikTok and Instagram accounts at WBC News Radio. If anyone's missing a goat, Randolph Police may have found it. And we're not kidding.
