We have learned there will be no verdict today in the Karen Reid murder re trial. Read surrounded by supporters and press. Moments ago, as you left the courthouse in Debtham, WBC's Emma Friedman is here, and you know, Emma, what led up to this?

Speaker 3

Yeah, well, everybody was back in court just about ten minutes ago or so. The judge decided to send everybody home for the day.

So again, there was no verdict today, like you said, Nicole, but jurors were more vocal than the last two days of deliberations today. They had four questions. The first three came all at once about the timeline of the OUI charge if video clips of Karen Reid's media interviews are evidence, and about the lesser charges under a fence too, manslaughter while operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol.

The final question was if we find not guilty on two charges but can't agree on one charge, is it a hung jury on all three charges or just the one. The judge said that she can't really answer that because it is a hypothetical question, which kind of ties her hands when it comes to that question. In particular, the defense did really push back on that though, So we're gonna be waiting again. As you said, it's the waiting

game now. All eyes on detam continues tomorrow when the jurors will be back for more deliberations.
