An immigration judge in Chelmsford has granted bond for detained Milford High School student Marcelo Gomez. The eighteen year old was arrested on Saturday by ICE agents as he was driving to volleyball practice. Immigration officials say his father was the original target of the operation, but they
arrested Gomez after discovering his student visa had expired. He's being held in Plymouth after he was transferred from Burlington. He will be released if he can post the two thousand dollars bond. To the Middle East at four oh one, where Israel says the bodies of two Israeli American hostages have now been recovered from Gaza. The hostages were among the hundreds kidnapped during the Hamasata On October seventh, of twenty twenty three. AMASA is still holding fifty six hostages.
Only about a third are still believed to be alive. Meantime, Overnight Israeli strikes in Gaza killed at least three people, including three journalists, and President Trump appears to be optimistic when it comes to reaching a trade deal with China. Your CBS is Lynda Kenyon.

The President also doubling down on his new travel ban at the White House this afternoons. It cannot quote comes soon enough. The ban, which takes effect come Monday, has a full restriction on people from twelve countries. Those countries include Haiti, Sudan, and Afghanistan. There are also restrictions for people from seven other countries. These include Venezuela and Sierra Leone.
There are some exceptions to President Trump's travel ban. Dual citizens who have citizenship in America and one of the banned countries will still be allowed into the US. So will Green card holders, immigrants who seek visas through American relatives, refugees who have been granted asylum, Iranians fleeing religious persecution, and Afghans who helped the US during the war. Certain athletes and coaches will also be exempt from the ban.
The US will host Soccer's World Cup next year and the Summer Olympics in Los.

The President also signing a new executive order banning most foreign students from coming into the United States, specifically to study at Harvard. He did so citing national security concerns. Harvard accusing the administration of trying to deprive it of its right to free speech, saying it will protect its international students. And it's very hot outside and that is why you're not hearing any updates on the Karen Reid
retrial today. Judge Beverly Canoni announcing yesterday at the end of testimony that there are concerns about court officers not being able to hear witnesses with the ac on. She said, the retrial is ahead of schedules, so they just gave the jury the day off. Heat is expected to break by tomorrow, so a full day of testimony is on the schedule, okay. And when it comes to the forecast for the rest of the afternoon, it is going to be a steamy one. Many of us are already in
the mid two in some cases pushing upper nineties. We're seeing some ninety fives. Ninety six is out there, and we are definitely dealing with that very humid, sticky air. The Hayes is also something to worry about. We have some air quality alerts up in parts of New England because of the Hayes from the Canadian wildfires. New data shows some growing problems with the state's primary care system. Health officials have released an updated version of the primary Care Dashboard. It says the latest numbers should inform lawmakers to make different policy changes. The latest analysis finds growing racial disparities and access to care, a declining
number of doctors available, and reduced insurance investments. A state task force is currently making plans to improve the system, and the local beer scene is shrinking again with another merger, this time on the Cape. According to the Cape Cod Times, the newly formed Triton Beverage Group has acquired Cape Cod Beer in Hyennas Now. Cape Cod Beer has been around for about twenty years, owner Beth Marcus telling the paper they were not actively trying to sell, but she wants
more time to spend with her kids. Other breweries in the group include Plymouth's Mayflower Brewing and Orleans's Hog Island. No word on financials. You are now in the Loup.
