After weeks with little rain, brushfires have been popping up around Greater Boston, and Salem has Hallowekend crowds flood in a blaze has been smoldering for the better part of a day now. Wbz's Kyle Shaffle has more on that.
Sheets of smoke drifting like ghosts out of the woods in Salem, making it tough to breathe. The brush fire in the forest behind the shopping center has torched at least eighty acres so far. Salem Fire Chief Allen Dion says this kind of thing isn't new in the woods behind Highland av.

A separate outdoor fire in central mass has left a woman dead. State police say they responded to the scene of an encampment in Millbury around eight twenty last night. That's where they found the victim victim who has not been identified. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
