It's seventy five degrees in Boston at four o'clock good Sunday afternoon. I'm Madison Rogers, and we start off with some developing news in Boston. It's a deal. Hundreds of workers will be back on the job at Omni Hotels early tomorrow this afternoon. Making the announcement, the union says a ratification vote has passed, accepting a contract deal including wage increases they call historic. More than six hundred workers at the Omni Parker House and Omni Boston Seaport walked
off the job six days ago. Hundreds more Hilton workers are still on the picket lines, and thousands more across Boston are without a contract. Unit here. Local twenty six says the strike could expand at any time and at any location, and developing in the Middle East, explosions have now begun around a root as the Israeli military takes aim at Hesbla. An update from the AP's Karen Shamas.
Israel's military has announced its plans to attack a large number of targets in the coming hours in their route and elsewhere. Speaking in a news briefing, Israeli military spokesman Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari said Israel plans to target has Badlah financial institutions in Beir Rout after days of strikes that have pummeled the Lebanese capital and southern Lebanon. Hungary warned Lebanese citizens to stay clear of his Ballah's financial
institutions as Israel plans to heavily attack them. The scope of the new Israeli evacuation warnings was not immediately clear. Israel's announcement came a day after US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin called civilian casualties in Lebanon far too high and urged Israel to scale back some strikes, especially in and around bear Rout. The US is also now investigating an alarming potential intelligence like classified documents that appear to be legitimate have been posted online assessing is Israel's plans to attack Iran.
It appears to be a major intelligence breach. The documents, which were posted on social media, purportedly showed classified US intelligence gathering on Israel's preparations for potential retaliatory strike against Iran, with what appears to be specific details about the types and number of missiles that Israel may be readying. US officials not commenting, but one senior Defense official says they're looking into the reports.
The documents were posted on the messaging app Telegram. A four year old boy from Gaza has arrived in Boston for surgery after losing his leg in an air strike. Mother Dui a l'arreer and her young son, Jude, were flown to the US by the Palestine Children's Relief Fund. The humanitarian group says the strike also killed Jude's brother Man. He lost his father too. The boy and his mother are now at Shriner's Hospital. The final race at the head of the Charles Regatta is setting off as we speak.

Right now in Boston, it's seventy five degrees, mostly sunny and breezy at four oh five. Relief is on the way for American hospitals dealing with a shortage of IV fluids caused by Hurricane Helene. The first flights
carrying supplies from overseas are arriving this weekend. More from ABC's Ikajachi.
For weeks now, they've been rationing their supply, and some hospitals are even temporarily canceling elective surgeries. The issue forcing the Biden administration to involve war powers in to get those overseas shipments that are now coming. In the Hurricane Heleen kneecapped Baxter International, which produces about sixty percent of the nation's IV.
Fluids, and the shortage has certainly been felt here in Massachusetts. Mass General Brigham was forced to temporarily cancel some elective surgeries. The state's largest hospital system says they were able to resume their procedure schedule without any deferrals on Friday. Some new numbers show that hiring in the healthcare sector is red hot.
Demand for healthcare workers, specifically physicians and surgeons, is up eighty seven percent compared with just before the pandemic, according to new data from job site. Indeed, hiring for other healthcare roles is also quite active, for mental health therapists up eighty two percent. For personal care and home health workers, hiring is up sixty seven percent. A few other job sectors that went on hiring sprees during the pandemic have
pulled back. For instance, demand for software developers has fallen thirty one percent. Michael Toscano, CBS News.
Walkerrington Hike and the White Mountains turned deadly yesterday for a man from Canada. New Hampshire officials say a fifty eight year old from Montreal experienced a medical emergency on Mount Shikora, two miles from the trailhead he'd been hiking. A piper Trail officials say family members and passers by with medical experience tried to save him, performing CBR for over an hour. And a number of state and local rescue agencies responded to the scene. Sadly, he did not
make it. The man has not been identified as of now. At the Detroit International Marathon today, a fifty seven year old runner collapsed and died.
Race director Aaron veltoven says first responders, medical staff, and volunteers were all prepared for medical emergencies like this.
We have a number of the eight stations as well around their course, monitors throughout the course that monitor the runners as they go. Do you know that when the runner did go down to our support staff went into action and went to support this individual.
