President Donald Trump says he ordered the air strikes, which come a few days after the Huthis said they'd resume attacks on Israeli vessels sailing in waters off Yemen in

President Trump assigned a government spending bill afternoon, officially averting a shutdown.
Bill which funds the federal government through September thirtieth, was passed in the Senate ahead of the Friday night deadline, but the White House did not announce until midday today that President Trump had signed it at mar A Lago. The bill split Senate Democrats, who decried thirteen billion dollars
in domestic funding cuts. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer drew the ire of many of his fellow Democrats for urging passage, saying a government shutdown would be worse, adding shuttered federal agencies would leave an opening for the Department of Government Efficiency to keep them closed indefinitely. A monster storm sweeping across the South is killed at least seventeen people this weekend, most of them in Missouri. Maybe sees Matt Rivers has more.

A former medical assistant at mass General is sentenced to up to twelve years
in prison for sexually assaulting patients. The forty one year old from East Boston, Damian Knighton, was found guilty of conducting unauthorized genital and rectal exams on four male patients. The assaults happened at the MGH Back Bay Health Center on Commonwealth Avenue. Knight And was first arrested more than two years ago. He is now banned for life from working in the medical field in Massachusetts. In the four day forecast, we have some unsettled weather moving in this weekend.

So we reached out to Dimmick to try to get a better understanding of why this all happened, and they told us that she was just one of twenty one people laid off. They say the decision it was made carefully, but ultimately came as an effort to try to address some financial challenges. A spokesperson from Dimmick explained that mission based organizations nationwide are facing severe financial strain due to
rising costs and policy changes. To ensure financial stability, Dimmick must align expenses with revenue.
