It's thirty eight degrees in Boston at four o'clock and good Saturday afternoon. I'm Madison Rogers. It is a momentous evening right now. In Paris, the Notre Dame Cathedral has reopened, now five years since the world washed in horror as the Parisian Monument went up in flames, and with the celebration as a backdrop, French President Samanuel mccron welcomed to President elect Donald Trump. The two held an impromptu meeting

earlier with Ukraine's President Zelensky. First Lady Doctor Joe Biden attended the ceremonies as well, which are now wrapping up. Boston Archbishop Richard Henning asked local parishes to ring their bells at two pm. One day after the arrest of Boston City Councilor Tanya Fernandez Anderson, Mayor Wu doubles down on her calls for a resignation.

Speaker 3

Boston may and Michelle Wool have no doubt about how she feels about the federal grand jury indictment charging city council Totanya Fernandez Andersen with theft and wire fraud using federal funds.

Speaker 2

I've made my views clear that I believe that she should resign.

Speaker 3

The mayor speaking out after Fernandez Andersen pleaded not guilty in federal court a grand jury charging the council with giving a thirteen thousand dollars bonus to a staff member who's a relative, then demanding the staffer give back seven thousand dollars of the bonus in a meeting in a city hall bathroom.

Speaker 2

We are the level government that is closest to peopoleen.

Speaker 4

We have to hold ourselves to the highest possible standard because our responsibilities directly impact people's daily lives.

Speaker 3

If Fernandez Anderson heeds the mayor's call and resigns from the council, a special election would be scheduled, since the next regularly scheduled municipal election is nearly a year away. Mike Macklin WBZ, Boston's news radio.

Speaker 2

Despite that growing pressure, the counselor does seem to be signaling she has no plans to resign in the coming days. Just now, she shared a post on social media about her plans to lead a city council hearing Monday afternoon, a troubling warning from the FBI. They say text scent between iPhone and Android users could be intercepted by foreign hackers.

Speaker 4

US officials say the Chinese have hacked their way into the SMS system that sends those green bubble text messages between users of different phone systems. So to keep your text messages safe, cybersecurity experts are recommending using encrypted programs like WhatsApp, Signal or telegraph. There are lots of them

out there. They also recommend using a cell phone that automatically receives those operating system updates, and be careful not to text sensitive personal information like social security numbers, credit card info, or your passwords.

Speaker 2

That is ABC's Alexis christoforis Medicare patients need to act fast to design on their coverage for next year. The deadlines midnight.

Speaker 5

This tool is commonly called plan Finder. It is a well kept secret. You enter your zip code and it says these are the seven plans in your zip code that cover all of your mets.

And if you're switching to Medicare advantage, don't panic. You've gotten till the end of Nick's marsh to apply. Brad Gibson for CBS News.

Looking at the four day wbz ACU weather forecast, It's cloudy tonight with a low around thirty two in Boston. Watch for a light accumulation of snow late tonight into early Tomorrow morning that can cause some slick spots on the roads. Sunshine returns later on Tomorrow, forty five to forty nine for the high, and then some early sun is followed by clouds, then a bit of rain later on for Monday, continueing into Monday night, forty to forty

four for the high that day. We're in the mid forties with some potential drizzle to start off the day. Then it stays cloudy on Tuesday, and we are still seeing quite a few snow flurries out in western Mass and potentially in some spots up in the Merrimack Valley as well here in Boston. No sign of that yet. It's still a mostly clear sky, a beautiful sky. We're nearing sunset now. It's thirty eight degrees and feeling like thirty three. Pearl Harbor Day was honored aboard the USS
