Early voting begins around here this coming weekend, and three weeks from tomorrow is election Day. The presidential candidates are both campaigning today the battleground state of Pennsylvania. Vice President Kamala Harris in the Northwest corner in Eery, while former President Trump holds a town hall
later this evening in the suburbs of Philadelphia. Of both the events, our plan for a couple of hours from now. Pennsylvania is the largest of the battleground states, and with time running out, an ipso's poll offers a snapshot of the race and how Americans view some of the key issues Jarati.
In the ABC News IPSO survey, fifty six percent say that all immigrants in the country illegally should be deported. That's a twenty percentage point jump on that question in our polling from eight years ago. Voters like several of the proposal's com La Harris is brought to the table, such as a six thousand dollars per child tax credit, a twenty five thousand dollars grant to first time home buyers,
and even limits on grocery profits. They also like some of Trump's proposals, such as an end to taxes on Social Security benefits and expanded tariffs on imports.
That is ABC Stephen Portnoy a bit of a scare at the former president's rally in California over the weekend. Rimberside County Sheriff Chad Bianco says his deputies arrested in the Las Vegas man outside of security checkpoint for that rally in LA on Saturday night.
He showed up with an unregistered vehicle with fake license plates. He had multiple passports with multiple variations of names, He had loaded guns in the car, and he was arrested for those weapons on weapons violations per California law.
The suspect was released on five thousand dollars bond. A funeral today on the Cape for Ethel Kennedy, the wife of the late Senator Robert Kennedy, was remembered at Our Lady of Victory Church in Centerville. The event was closed to the public invitation only. Fol Kennedy died last week from complications from a stroke she was ninety six. The picket lines have been growing. Hotel workers from cooks to bell hoops are now striking at the Omni Parker hotels

Close to seven hundred Omni Parker workers walking off the job Boston. So hotel strike is more than doubled overnight.

If they keep saying make them pay, make them pay.
They're demanding at the hotels step forward and reach a contract that gives them significant wage increases. Another housekeeper I talked to was I rate over needing to work multiple jobs just to cover rent.

The big deal, at least right now on the radar, is out into parts of western Massachusetts where we have been seeing quite a bit of shower activity by ninety one westward. Will have to see what those showers do, because they do have a little bit more punch,
so maybe a downpour in that. There's a couple of showers up to the north as well, into and around the Cape Ann area, So something to watch out for as we head through the latter hours of the afternoon and into the early evening, when we'll just have some patchy clouds. Later, temperatures in the low forties in Boston, upper thirties of the inland suburbs. Then the weather turns
pretty nice. It won't be overly warm, but we'll have sunshine Tomorrow, Wednesday, and Thursday, temperatures within a few degrees of sixty most days. It is fifty right now in Boston. Halloween spending in twenty twenty four is expected to reach eleven point six billion dollars. It's a lot of money, and that is according to the National Retail Federation. This year, they are also acknowledging the ongoing challenges that they face with a focus on the election, from a voting rally in Minneapolis today to a public talk about the Native
vote at Virginia Tech. The National Museum of American History is revamping its Entertainment Nation exhibit.
The exhibit tells the story of America through pop culture. It's already home to iconic items like Dorothy's Ruby slippers, Mister Rogers cardigan sweater, and Grandmaster Flash's turntables, but come February, the original Fozzy Bear and Burton Ernie puppets will arrive. Also, Brian Cranston's has matsuit from Breaking Bad, the OGC three PO and R two D two models from Star Wars, and even Bob Ross's easel Hello Us, where he painted
