This is WBZ, Boston's news radio redefining local news thirty nine degrees in Boston at four o'clock. Good afternoon, I'm Ben Parker. Here's what's happening. The co hasn't been accused of murdering his wife. Back in court today and we now know when his trial is set to begin. Wbz's Nicole Davis as the tale.

Brian Walsh facing several charges in the death of his wife Anna, including murder and claims he dismembered her body. Now, recently the judge overseeing the case, Beverly Cononi, was removed. You might know that name as she's presiding over the Karen Reid case. Superior Court Judge Dian for Near is now on the Walsh case, and in the hearing she said she's aiming for efficiency.

Defense lawyer Larry Tipton says they need all the time they can get because there's a bunch of evidence to still go through and complex forensic testing is still being done powers the video surveillance. They cease fire between Israel and has Belah getting a little less ceasing has Belah firing and at Israeli held border zones. It's a disputed zone and it's the group's first attack since the ceasefire took hold last week. Lebanon has been accusing Israel violating the truth more than fifty times in recent days. As Bella says its attack was a warning day Israel over the alleged cease fire violations.

Still lots of questions for the White House after President Biden's decision to pardon his son Hunter in his two federal cases.

He said he wrestled with this and because he believes in the justice of sum but he also believes that the war politics infected the process and led to a miscarriage of justice.

The Biden family discussed the pardon issue together over the Thanksgiving holiday. According to a source, familiar and senior White House staff learned of the possibility of a pardon Saturday evening. The President made his final decision on Sunday. Karen Travers ABC News the White House.

The official hurricane season and the Atlantic has come to a close. ABC's Cherry Preston taking a look back on the damage from this year's storm.

Following Hurricane Barrel, which made landfall along the Gulf Coast of Texas, a half a million people remained without power a week after it hit. Hurricane Helene walloped North Carolina so hard they had to use mules to get supplies to people trapped around Ashville. Those were two of the five major hurricanes to hit the US this season. There were eighteen storms in all, eleven of them strong enough to earn names. In fact, it was such a busy season we almost used up the entire list of names.

Tis the season now for putting up decorations and perhaps getting hurt Some safety tips from a doctor at THEENY. An emergency medicine physician for the Cleveland Clinic, doctor Carol Parsons says falls from ladders are one of the most common injuries, and says to make sure the ladd's firmly planted on the ground and have someone else with you. Don't reach out too far when trying to hang those lights.

The doctor recommends throwing out any damaged or frayed lighting and keeping live trees away from fireplaces or other fire sources. Stats from the Consumer Product Safety Commission show last year, nearly fifteen thousand people were treated in er departments due to holiday decorating related injuries. We've got some cold weather in place, temperatures today only reaching into the upper thirties. A couple of spots got to forty, but that was a rarity. We will have a chilly night to night,

mainly in the twenties. A few of the furthest northern and western suburbs may bust back down into the teens over night to night under clear skies more sun than clouds. Tomorrow, it's going to feel a lot like today, with temperatures mainly in the upper thirties. Couple spots may hit forty and then clear tomorrow night a low of twenty seven.

Wednesday continued cold, some sun, some clouds, breezing in the afternoon again, temperatures upper thirties near forty, and then some rain and snow gets in here at night on Wednesday and far enough inland. We may stay snow with some light accumulations maybe a couple inches possible north and west of the city. By Thursday, mostly cloudy, windy, couple of snow showers and even some rain and snow showers over the south coast Capean Islands. Temperatures on Thursday mainly in

the mid forties over the Capean Islands. About forty three in Boston right now thirty nine in the city. Some people will be getting toys for Christmas, others clothes. Perhaps some will get cold in their stocking. Others want a puppy. Here's the thing. Scammers want your money and sometimes use pet promises to get it.

According to the Better Business Bureau, eighty percent of ads for puppies online could be fake posted by scammers. Some red flags to watch out for. They only communicate through email or text. You can't speak to anyone. They'll try to get you to buy an animal without seeing it in person, and they'll ask you to wire money or use payment apps or gift cards for payment. The MSPCA Angel has four shelters in Massachusetts and they're waiving their adoption fees on dogs one year old and up from December fifth through the eighth in Mathuin. Sherry Small WBZ, Boston's news radio.

One time New England Patriot and NFL Hall of Famer Randy Moss says he is battling something internal is also asking for prayers. The legendary receiver who played much of his career with the Minnesota Vikings, saying in an Instagram video, your boy has been battling something internal and says I just asked for all the prayer warriors to put their blessed hands on me and my family through these hard times.

Moss did not disclose details, but did encourage men to get checkups and blood work done, Moss saying, your boy got to get through it. I've got a great team of doctors, and i got a great family around me, says Moss while the New England.
