We're ringing the bell to close this thing out. But boy, what a long ride it was.
Yeah, and you know it's been bad, Ben, when a loss of a little less than a thousand points looks almost good by comparison. The Dow at the worst down more than fourteen hundred points of the Dow currently as it settles down nine seventy two. The Nasdaq fell four point fifteen, the SMP down one twenty five.
A lot of the.
Worry centered on the US Central Bank, better known as the Federal Reserve, and the main concern is that President Trump will act on this threat to fire FED. Jared Jape Chara Jape Howell. You cannot ask for better weather or a better start to one of the most famous races in the world.
People say, what's your biggest.
Concern going into a race, and it's always the weather, because it's the unknown factor.
Even weather forecasts.
Are week's out, aren't necessarily accurate.
Fortunately for the thousands of participants and for race director Dave mcgilvery, these are near perfect Boston Marathon conditions.
Won't be too long, won't be too cold, almost ideal conditions.
Right now, it's perfect.
It seems like we locked out, which makes a huge difference for everybody. So I'm sure that run I feel appreciate it today.

What a big surprise that a bunch of a few leakers get fired and suddenly a bunch of hit pieces come out from.

It's hard to explain to an out of town or just what makes today so special.
Boston Marathon is so great because it's in Boston. It's in Boston, and Boston's better than New York.
That's Taisha talking to our friend Opa from you know where, neither of whom have run a marathon. Like the vast majority of the crowd here at PC. That doesn't mean they don't have advice for the runners.
Don't push yourself too hard, like I don't know, like I feel like it's not worth it to like do something that's like detrimental to your body, like I get it like you worked hard for it, but at the end of the day, like you got to put your health first.
Believe in something greater than yourself.
Sorry, that was kind of crazy.
Shout out the boat.
May he rest in peace, my gun.
The boat died this.
Morning for the out of towners. BC is a Catholic school. Matt Sheer WBZ, Boston's news radio.
Indeed, Pope Francis has died at the age of eighty eight. The Vatican says the cause of death a cerebral stroke that led to a coma and irreversible heart failure. Boston is known for its rich Catholic history and Catholics from far and wider. In mourning, w'ss Jim McKay spoke to parishioners at a church bearing the name of the saint the Pactiff chose as his papal name.
Greatly said, and by finding out that he has passed away.
I just felt that this book was very holy.
For parishioners heading to Mass at Saint Francis of the CC in Braintree was quite a shock to begin the week knowing the Pontiff passed away in the early morning hours after many had just watched Easter services at Saint Peter Square. Donna believes the legacy of Pope Francis extends well beyond the Catholic faith.
He is just so generous, and I think even if you weren't Catholic, that.
You just loved this had a legacy of charity and change for his twelve years in the papacy. The first Pope of the Americas will be remembered today on the South Shore and across the globe with prayer.
Our prayers are with him, and we know that he died peacefully, and we know that he'll be.
Nevan reporting for Braintree Jim mckawb Z Boston's news radio.
I let the curiosity and the rumors begin now. Who will be the next pope? There are some cardinals with a better chance than others.
Even though cardinals don't campaign for the job of pope, there are always front runners going into a conclave, cardinals who have not reached the age of eighty. While it's a sacred and secretive process, some possible candidates include Urdo, the Archbishop of Budapest, Marx the Archbishop of Munich, Roulette of Canada, Parolin of Italy, Sirah of Guinea, Schoonburn, the Archbishop of Vienna, Tagel of the Philippines, Zoopi, the Archbishop of Bologna, and the idea of an American pope has
long been taboo. But there's also the Chicago born prevost. The winner must receive at least two thirds vote. I'm Julie Walker.
