This is WBZ, Boston's news radio, redefining local news seventy one degrees in Boston at four o'clock. Good afternoon, I'm Ben Parker. Here's what's happening, and we are following some developing news as a man wrongly deported to El Salvador is heading back to the US. ABC Stephen Portnoy has the tails.

Speaker 2

Sources tell ABC News exclusively that Kilmar Abrego Garcia is on his way back to the US to face charges. He's now the subject of a federal grand jury indictment filed in Tennessee, alleging that over a decade he was part of a conspiracy to transport migrants from Texas to the interior of the country. Brego Garcia was sent to his native El Salvador in March, despite an immigration judge's

order protecting him from being deported there. Since then, the administration has pointed to a Tennessee traffic stop in twenty twenty two when state troopers suspected he was taking part in human trafficking, but he was released and no charges were filed at the time. Stephen Portnoy, ABC News Washington.

Just one WI this took the stand today for the defense. An expert at reconstruction with the company called ARCA on the stand at the Karen Reid trial and debt and we get more from WZ Suzanne Susville.

Speaker 3

Doctor Daniel Wolfe told the jury that he tested a Lexus SUV backing into a test arm and dummy roughly the size of John O'Keefe at various speeds from ten to twenty nine miles per hour.

Speaker 4

Did you reach any opinions or conclusions as to whether the rear tailite of the subject suv was involved in a center of mass strike of a pedestrian at a high speed rearword maneuver?

Speaker 1

Yes, what is your opinion that the damage to the subject Lexus is inconsistent with a center of mass hit?

Speaker 3

Under cross wolf SETI used the encrypted app signal to text with the defense at the defense's suggestion.

Speaker 5

Out of all these clients that you've had, how many times, how many clients would you use signal with?

Speaker 2

This was the first time.

Speaker 3

Wolf said he was paid fifty thousand dollars to testify for the defense. Suzanne Sausville WBZ Boston's news Radio.

We've been following these thunderstorms this afternoon. They are becoming more and more widespread, certainly far to the north and west of Boston, and now we have a severe thunderstorm warning. This has been posted until four point thirty this afternoon for northern Worcester County and northwestern Middlesex County. Some of the areas that may get underneath some of these pretty nasty downpours and storms and thunder and lightning include Fitchburg

and Leminster. One of these storm cells making a beeline for the twin cities there. Gardener's already had some issues out into Templeton, Lancaster townshend Rotland, Stirling. All these towns could be under the gun soon from these storms that have been pushing through central Massachusetts. We've seen another cell pop up right around Hopkinson out in four ninety five.

That's about it. Closer to Boston. We do have some cells out into western Massachusetts and up into parts in New Hampshire, especially this one cell that's up around Hillsborough and Henniker kind of bothering folks there for a while this afternoon, and then another one up toward Conquer, New Hampshire, and a whole lot more off to the north and off to the further western areas, including off into New

York State. So there's plenty of power around here, just hasn't made it into the Boston area yet and a lot of it might not. The Capan Islands may be spared any kind of precipitation tonight, but there is a floodwatch posted for areas north and west of four ninety five through this evening, so those storms could be causing some issues as we move along, not just the weather issues, but on the roads too, if you're traveling in those areas.

Sixty three for the load to night mid seventies tomorrow, with a few showers or storms, and then some clowns around Tomorrow night, some sunshine around on Sunday, temperatures in the mid seventies and the warmest spots couple of showers Sunday night and Monday before a much cooler Monday. It is seventy right now in Boston. What's red and plump and ripe this time of year? So very feel I'm not picking some strawberries. It's June and time to do just that.

Speaker 6

Oh this one's looking for again.

Speaker 5

They are almost a different animal from what people.

Speaker 4

Are used to.

Speaker 6

Thomas Hanson and I stand before of low bushes yielding the darkest red shade of strawberries I've seen in a minute. June is strawberry harvesting season for Hanson Farm here in Framingham, when Thomas and his wife Martha open up their farm for people to come and pick their own berries and fill buckets.

Speaker 5

On the weekends, We're going to have cider donuts. The ice cream bus is going to be open. We have a band coming the farm.

Speaker 4

Animals will be out, our little miniature ponies, little miniature horses, Romeo and Cowboy.

Speaker 6

Well, the consistent rain on the weekend has been a bummer for getaways. The strawberries love it.

Speaker 5

It's sizing them up, which is good. Strawberries are very shallow rooted, so some rain is very important. Don't get me wrong. Right now, I would like it to comraund and stop raining in Framingham.
