Episode description

Please join me for a fun afternoon with three women with unique voices and stories. These women
were my guests in The Locher Room on January 27, 2020.

Molly Merryman is the author of Clipped Wings: The Rise and Fall of the Women Air Force Service Pilots (WASPs) of World War II. She used interviews and uncovered documents to write her book.

Susan Rubin is the author of the trippy time travel fantasy The Road Not Taken. It explores the inner drives of a woman in midlife, when a simple trip to the lipstick counter becomes an opportunity to unravel the mystery of self.

Joan Thomas is the author of Five Wives which is based on the true story of the missionary widows who attempted to convert an "untouched" Amazonian tribe after their husbands were killed by the tribe. The book, originally released just in her home country of Canada, has earned nearly every accolade a book can in that country.
