If the world cannot seduce our passions away from God, it will attempt to distract our passions with busyness. It is a much more subtle tactic. We don’t really view that we are doing anything wrong. As a matter of fact, we convince ourselves that we are being good, responsible people. Now, there is nothing wrong with responsibility and a good work ethic, but if our passion is not first of all for God, it can lead down some dangerous paths.
