A Cancer Survivor's Story with Austin

Chronic illnesses cause young children to mature and become adults mentally quickly. It happened to Naomi, and it also happened to Austin. Naomi and Austin went to the same school at one point during their childhoods, and Austin shares his story being diagnosed with leukemia at 8 years old. Austin shares the challenges of chemotherapy, radiation, and a bone marrow transplant he endured. He also emphasizes how chronic illnesses cause kids to mentally mature to an adult's mentality even before physically and chronologically becoming an adult.
