01. Michael Cruz Kayne on continuing bonds, grief literacy, and finding joy while grieving

Season one of Lemonade kicks off with a refreshingly honest conversation about all things loss and grief with comedian, actor, writer and podcast host Michael Cruz Kayne. In 2009, Michael and his wife Carrie lost their baby son Fisher when he was just 34 days old. 

In this episode, Michael and I talk about continuing our relationships with our deceased loved ones, grief literacy, and guilt and forgiveness. We reflect upon the evolution of grief as time passes, and our capacity to hold both grief and joy at the same time. Michael also shares practical advice on how we can better support people navigating a bereavement. I loved this conversation, and I hope you do too.
