Episode description

Congressional Democrats are debating if Terry McAuliffe lost the Virginia Governor's race because of a comment he made suggesting parents should not be telling schools what to teach, a line which would later be taken out of context. Now, chairwoman of the Congressional Progressive Caucus Pramila Jayapal suggests education could become a central fixture in the 2022 midterms.

The criminal case in the murder of Ahmaud Arbery has finished selecting nearly an all-white jury. Arbery, a 25 year-old black man, was jogging when he was chased by three white men before being fatally shot. With one black juror hearing the case, the prosecution suggests the defense’s decision to remove jurors was based solely on race while the defense said the decision was race neutral.
