#360 - A Pep Talk for the Perpetually Tired
Apr 08, 2024•25 min
Summary
Kendra Adachi addresses the pervasive issue of chronic tiredness, explaining how historical shifts towards productivity, intensified by the digital age, combined with societal expectations on women, create an illogical burden. She reframes tiredness as a cultural problem, not a personal failing, and introduces the "stress out, rest in" framework. The episode offers actionable, micro-level strategies to reduce daily stressors and intentionally incorporate small moments of rest, helping listeners move from perpetual weariness to a more sustainable rhythm.Episode description
Is this maybe the most appropriately named pep talk of all time? Quite possibly. I have a feeling a lot of you always feel tired. In fact, like me, you feel tired so often that it’s annoying at this point. You’re tired of being tired. Will we ever not be tired?!
I think we all need some solidarity in this space as well as some practical help. My goal is for you to get both.
