Episode description

Welcome to the first episode of THE LAWLESS PODCAST.

We are interviewing Jonaven Moore. In my part of the world Jonaven Moore garnered fame and massive respect on a snowboard as one of the world’s best backcountry riders... From the early 90’s onwards he made his mark in the Big Mountain world and Immortalized himself by Racking up so many first descents in and around B.C.  I mentioned his name and a friend of mine started frothing about a rock ride he did on Mt. Athabasca in the late nineties. To this day there are still things that Jonaven has rode that nobody else has done since.

But to me the most interesting parts of Jonaven Moore is not found on the boards he steps on. But it’s found in the way he has set up his life or rather keeps reimagining it as his mindset shifts and flexes.

He walked away from the dream we all believe ourselves to have… to be paid to play.  Still at the height of a career with the trajectory to keep pushing the sport and travelling the world. He slipped out of the spot light and focused inwards and made a life on Vancouver Island. And that is where this interview was done.
