The Latin Prayer Podcast

We are living in difficult times, both in the Church and in the world. Now more than ever, ordinary Catholics must fight for the salvation of souls and personal sanctity. Latin is the universal language of the Church, made holy when it was nailed to the Cross with Christ (John 19:19–20). It connects us to the worship of Heaven and strengthens our prayers.

In 2017, I wanted to pray the Rosary in Latin but couldn’t find a podcast to follow. So I made one. It has since grown into a full library of Rosaries, Litanies, Chaplets, and other traditional prayers. I’ve also created Latin learning guides and printable resources, available through Patreon, to help you pray with clarity and confidence, whether on your own or with your family.

This is about restoring Catholic prayer, reclaiming sacred tradition, and forming a movement of families praying daily in Latin for the salvation of souls and the renewal of Holy Mother Church.

Actus Adorationem (Latin & English)

Whether in Latin or English this prayer is an absolute must learn. It's simple and easy to teach. Traditionally it is said three times especially on a Thursday as an act of Adoration to our Blessed Lord in the most holy Sacrament of the Altar. O Sacrament most holy, O Sacrament Divine, All praise and all thanksgiving be every moment Thine. O Sacramentum sanctissimum, O Sacramentum divinum, omnis laus et gratiæ sint tibi in perpetuum. It would mean a lot to me if you could leave a review on iTune...

We now continue with the prayers outside of those at the foot of the Altar. P: Epistle S: Deo grátias. P: Dóminus vobíscum. S: Et cu...

Episode 33 - Oratio Iesu in Latine

Although this prayer is very popular in the Eastern Traditions of the Catholic Church, the Roman Rite has had a special fondness of this prayer from the very beginning. The Jesus Prayer combines three Bible verses: the Christological hymn of the Pauline epistle Philippians 2:6–11 (verse 11: "Jesus Christ is Lord"), the Annunciation of Luke 1:31–35 (verse 35: "Son of God"), and the Parable of the Pharisee and the Publican of Luke 18:9–14, in which the Pharisee demonstrates the improper way to pra...

Salvete! On this Episode you get what several people have been requesting for a while now both on my podcast as well as the Dr. Taylor Marshall podcast, the sung version of the Benedic Domine also known as the Benedictio Ante Mensam - the sung Blessing before meals. Salvete! Having done music at a Novus Ordo parish for 10 years I was always looking for a way to take older hymns and re-arrange them so that they were palatable by the modern day parishioner - I wanted to introduce the beauty of original hymns even though we didn't have an organ, I would find a way to adapt them. This particular arrangement has been sung by yours truly at countless Catholic retreats, NO Masses and when I led Worship at young adult Adoration nights. I plan on releasing more vers...

The history of this chaplet goes back to a devout Servant of God, Antonia d'Astonac, who had a vision of St. Michael. He told Antonia to honor him by nine salutations to the nine Choirs of Angels. St. Michael allegedly promised that whoever would practice this devotion in his honor would have, when approaching Holy Communion, an escort of nine angels chosen from each of the nine Choirs. In addition, for those who would recite the Chaplet daily, he promised his continual assistance and the assist...
