We're going all right, we'll here at Wrestling Khan with the grappler Lynn Dent. Lynn, thanks so much for the time. User. Yes, so we saw you on Tales from the Territories Portland edition and you talk about Bruce Anderson, your best buddy. What I read your book. Do you think that Vince put Bruce Anderson up to it? Well, okay, I'll tell you what. I'll answer that with a question. Okay. So the man

comes to us. He is a lobbyist, okay, right and Salem okay, and he goes and all of a sudden, we never had a wrestle commissioner. Now we get the lobbyist, goes, passes on rule. How do they do that? And then gets the wrestling commissioners and then appoints himself as the wrestling commissioner. The other thing he just passed. Okay, so

now he's the commissioner. And then he comes in. He goes, Hey, tells Donos, you can't use chairs, you can't use tables, you can't any vrate bleeds, and you don't stop the match immediately our heres on TV. I'll yank your license. Okay. So the next month Vince flies in and he has a show at the coliseum and four people got Juice, one guy, all kinds of Vinci show on his show. Nobody said nothing. They bragged about it coming back and three or four months but nobody said

anything about that. And then every time we've done something and we had to know, he was on our on our butt. So I don't know, I'm I'm asking you, what do you think that's a conclusion? Conclusion? So he did. Roddy have a deal where he was non exclusive to Vince in eighty five when he came in because you know, he would do Don show, he would still go to Portland even when he was with There's Joy And Piper told me itself, Roddy, of course, you know we head

on contract for WWA. But now, Vince Senior was a good friend of donoscause they were around for Ben Senior, Benn Senior and Bob Guy. Okay, so thinking about the last two territories that Vince put out a business, was Bob get going down Owens? Yes, okay, So Piper, he knew Piper was from here. He knew Piper got to start kind of with Don. And so Roddy made a deal with Vince. Ain't it's not gonna

hurt your houses. And they just kind of gentleman's agreement. Okay, he come in and to help Don make as much money as he could before he knew it was over. He knew it was over. Yeah, that's how do you do you think they wanted Piper to job at Mania one to Hogan? And why didn't that happen? Well, of course they did it because they wanted to push Hogan was a meal ticket, of course, I mean, anybody, you gotta be an idiot to not know these guys your meal

ticket. But they wanted him to do the job because of course promoters go on with the next car and the next heel. But Piper, you know, he stood up like he got lucky, got away with that. Yeah, because most guys wouldn't have. But he drew so well and with such a unique gimm you know that eventually, I guess I wasn't there, No, I know, but I know you knew him in so as a as a book or promoter. If I was vincing man, I'd go, Okay,

we'll work something out. But you're probably the only guy that he don't mean, do you think they ever came close to talking Roddy into losing clean to Hogan. I do I think they came close to it. What was this problem with it at the end of the day, in your opinion, Piper always that was his thing. I don't get. He wanted to be the guy that nobody ever beat. Literally, I on TV. You know it had a tape on it because everybody else did you know, It's like

that's your meal ticket. I mean, you know who was I thinking that the other day? The dude want to do a job for Andre the Giant. I'm going, are you crazy? Not only because he would kill your ass, but here's Hogan. Um, I heard this story the other day. Yeah. Actually you might have heard it on TikTok too when he told Hogan told the story Hardy came down to Kansas City and he set the ring

on fire. Okay, well Hardy when when he got his big they were really on fire at w w what w w AF at the time, Hardy, you know, was a king in Kansas City. I booked Kansas City for a year for him and Gago, but they ran straight up. They came to Kansas City. Well, when they come to the town, Hogan came to the dress room to get a dressed and all that, said, one of the guys coming some men, you Betty, get Tress out of

here. Hardy was here earlier during the day and he was ship faced drinking and he set the ring on fire and said, hell yeah, we had to get it put out. He's looking at you, said I'll kill I will kill Hogan. He said, I'm the king of pro wrestling. Because he was so pissed because I remember interviews. Hardy would make me stuck because I wrote all the interview time, Donna. He would change it when you say just it's not just about Hogan, and I see, I say,

quit saying shit about Hogan, because then you're giving him all that. If you don't see anything, that's better, right, You know how that goes, right? Excuse me anyway, So what happened was Hogan said himself, He's like, I came here. He's I was in the restroom taking a dump and they got knocked doors. He said, Hardy's in the hall looking for you. He said, I didn't even wipe my butt. I joked with me as I was trying to get away, and he's not round him

the head on, face to face to Hardy. Hardy had a three fifty seven magnum in his hand and he said, you know what, you nothing champion, You you plastic champion. I hard to blow your knee caps out. And he said, but you know what, Hardy looking, I said, but I need a job. And he said and shook Hogan's and halson, let me talk to this for you. And that's how he came on w W wow. So we had to He almost shot on Hogan. Literally, yeah, ship could have bet a shoot. Yeah yeah, but that's

the way Hardy had. What's Holgan so paranoid because of shit like that? He but cause you know, back in the day they say this arrest was a shooting. We didn't have steeroids. You had to be a real tough guy and you held the world belt. Okay, it was it was. It was cafeine, so I held belts all over you can see. But Bill Watts would tell me, if you go to a bar and you get your ass kicked, your fire, that's for real. He would say, it was back together. Well would They'll say if you refuse to do a

job, I'll fire your ass. And then he would put a sair stretcher like Orton junior like Rton junior. Yeah, he go gonna put him asleep, will you? That's out? Yeah? Brother, No, I never claim be a tough guy. I was a good worker, thank god, and I I made the belt look like a great thing to have. But you know, I can protect myself against the faint fans. But yeah, that's way. That's the way we all went down the pike. And that's the way Hardy Race had protected the belt all the time. And now you

got Hogan. They could not whoop my ass. Okay, he's big and he glifts all these weights. That's the Plasta champion. That's what he called him. Please, I mean, I respect Hogan. He is to look at when you got to train your ass off, and he who paid his dues. But it was a total you know, it was a total old school and that's why Hardy had so much hate for it. He couldn't let it go. Wonderful stories. Thank you, Lenn, Thank you guys. I'm appreciate very much.
