TikTok can no longer be shrugged off as an internet fad, and one crucial element puts it head and shoulders above other socials - music. Music is in the DNA of the platform - its bite-sized video format fits exactly one chorus worth of music perfectly, making it a hive of dance trends and lip syncing. Now artists and record labels are doing their utmost to dip into this new music market.
