It is the Crell Cast. I am Carell Happy Monday, November eleventh. I am so very glad that you are joining me on this whirlwind cavalcade we call a show. All right, So you know I didn't really go through and pick oup my microphone's moving, good lord. I didn't really go out and choose a lot of topics today because well, how do I say this? Over the weekend and today via telephone, I've had a lot of conversations, a lot, and the number one conversation that comes up

is what are you gonna do? Where are you gonna move? What are you gonna do? And I really think it's on everybody's mind. What am I really going to do now that this the unthinkable has happened? And I know moderate Republicans that disagree with me on all kinds of policy that are asking the same question because they like Democrats and others, and the world can't believe that twenty four percent of America, and that's how many people voted

for Donald Trump. They're calling it sweeping, they're calling it a mandate. Twenty four percent, twenty four percent of America voted for Donald Trump. Seventy six percent of America did not vote for Donald Trump. That is not a mandate, Okay, it wasn't like, you know, eighty percent of the electorate voted for Donald Trump. They did not. Twenty four percent voted for Trump, twenty three percent voted for Harris. That's forty seven percent. Fifty three percent of America didn't vote

at all. Now, granted, about one hundred million of those can't vote. They're too young, they're too old, whatever, they're in hospitals. But out of three hundred and twenty seven million Americans, so let's say, out of a voter pool of two hundred and twenty seven million Americans, seventy seven

voted for him. And even if you just take that percentage out of the actual voters, not the whole population of America, but the voters, it is still only thirty three percent of registered voters voted for Donald Trump, sixty seven percent of registered voters did not, So how did he win? I don't know. I really don't know. I'm sorry I did the math a little wrong, but you get what I'm saying. Out of the two hundred and what two hundred and twenty million people that can vote,

seventy seven million voted for him. That's not even fifty percent. You know, fifty percent would be about one hundred and ten one hundred and twenty million people. That's not how many voted for him. So you had about one hundred and sixty million people vote, So already sixty million eligible people that could have voted did not, And so this is not a sweeping mandate as they are framing it.

And the other really scary thing is that he's got the House and Senate, but they forgot senators and Congress. People forget that. They don't take orders from the president. This is not an autocracy or a dictatorship. It's a republic. They take orders from their constituents. But they're of the mind while our constituents voted for Trump, so we'll just take orders from Trump. That's not the way the system

is supposed to work. So you have Congress people that have forgotten which way the system is going to work because they seem to want to take orders from Donald Trump. You've got a large portion of the electorate sitting it out, and the ones that did vote were pretty much split

fifty to fifty. It was razor thin margins. I also, you know, I don't believe in the integrity of this election, and not because Trump won, but because Trump won and yet other Democratic senators and congress people are still winning. So you want me to believe that Republicans voted for Trump here in Nevada but then voted for Jackie Rosen as Senator. That makes no kind of sense. Do I know that starlink handled a lot of the data for

the swing states and voting, Yes it did. Do I know that starlink is owned by Elon Musk, Yes it is. Do I know that Elon Musk sat and watched the election results with Trump? Yes I did. Have I been saying for months the fix was in, that Trump is acting like he cannot lose. YEP. So you draw your own inference and conclusion as to what you think happened

in this election. I think twenty four percent of America, just twenty four percent, or about thirty four percent of those eligible to vote, have put in a despot and the people that he's putting in and wanting recess appointments are horrible people. And you know, in the park today a Trump voter said, well, I'm glad he's going to take the trans stuff out of schools. And I'm like, then, you're not the parent of a trans child, so you really have no say on that. You know, we have

let really despicable voices be heard and gain power. So what do we do? It's the question on everybody's mind. What am I going to do? Well? You know, I have been evaluating that topic. Where's my chat room? I'm not seeing my chat room at YouTube dot com forward slash really, Corell, I'm not I'm not seeing it. Do I need to like get out of there? Hold on a second, chatters, I gotta tell you, I gotta do

something here for the show, y'all. I'm sorry, but I normally monitor the chat room and it YouTube and it's infinite wisdom. Uh sometimes pulls up the chat room and sometimes doesn't there it is, Yes, Ray Renadi, Happy belated birthday. If so many Dems had not sat home, we would this, we would not be talking about this, this weat Trump would have lost. So all of that being said, what

do we do now? What do we do now? So this weekend I've really been evaluating, Okay, And the first thing that I am afraid of of Donald Trump's America is my income, Okay, because that really is I think what we all are worried about, first and foremost, before the politics of immigration, or politics of being gay or any of that, before climate change, the first thing we

are all interested in is our income. Now, there's been no shame in my game that I do this podcast for only a half hour a day, and I do it at different times sometimes or skip days because I have a disability. I am a person with a disability, and I do not make enough from the show to get off of disability. So half of my income is Social Security disability and the only healthcare that I'm allowed

to have is Medicare. I have United Healthcare. So what is he going to do to people like me that are on disability but also get a private disability pension. Half of my income eighteen hundred dollars it's from SAG after the other half the other eighteen it's from social Security disability. I live on less than four thousand dollars a month. Bus Patreon it becomes forty eight, So I live on forty eight hundred dollars a month. I can't live on twenty four hundred dollars not an American. So

what am I gonna do? We're gonna keep talking about the reality of what we all are going to do. You know, someone in the chat room said, you said you're gonna stop talking about Trump. I'm not talking about Trump. Trump is the furthest thing from my mind. I'm talking about you and I'm talking about me. What are we going to do? So my first fear is financial. That is my first fear. So over the next month two months, by January February, I have to figure out how to raise my income. I have to not be dependent on Social Security. And more importantly, I have to start banking

enough money to wear over the next few years. I don't have to have it for when I retire because it's not going to be there. Okay, he is going to gut it. They're going to privatize it. They're going to turn it over to people who are going to ruin it. They're going to start decreasing benefits and cutting people off. That's what they're going to do. So what are you going to do about that? If you're older seventy sixty five, eighty seventy five, you're like, I don't know. Well,

you're going to have to figure that out. You have to work under the assumption that Medicare and Social Security are going to go away. You just have to work under that assumption. So what are you going to do? I am going to try to increase my income in entertainment. I don't know how that plan hasn't that road hasn't made itself clear to me yet. Obviously I have the show, I can still write, I can sing, I can go do live stage shows. I could work, you know, for

a major company doing entertainment. I could engage more people public speaking, there's things I can do, but I'm going to have to find a steady monthly income that does not involve Social Security of at least four thousand dollars a month or more. I have to do that. I can't not. I don't know how. It seems like an impossible task, and for many of you it may seem like an impossible task. But you cannot rely on Social Security.

It's going to go away. That's the first thing. Second thing, let's look at the reality of where we all live. I live in a blue dot in a red state. All right, California is an option for me, But he's going to come gunning for California. He hates Gavin Newsom, And do I want to be in a state that has a target on it? And believe me, California has a target. He hates Gavin Newssom, Gavin Nussen hates him, and so there's a target. There's no target on Nevada because Nevada voted for him. But I am in a

blue area of Nevada. I hate the weather here, the summers, can't stand the summers, and I hate that there's no gay community here. So on my list of what am I going to do in the new era. The first thing is income. All right, That's the first thing, and I'm sure that's probably the first thing for you too. Income.

Second of all, tribe. You know, in the eighties and the nineties under Reagan, under Bush, I was in Long Beach and immersed in the gay community, and I felt protected, you know, we had each other, the gay community, We had each other. I don't have a community here in Las Vegas. So I need to find income and then a tribe. I need to find family and friends, new family and friends that become my insulation from the horror ahead. So is that in America or is it somewhere else?

And what about that? Over the last four days on the Internet, the number of people looking at other countries has four thousand percent increase. People are serious this time, They really do want to explore getting out. Well, I've looked. I've looked at Believe, I've looked at Uruguay, I've looked at Spain, Portugal. A lot of these countries are not easy to get into. They have income requirements. I don't

meet them. So that goes back to money. So it appears for me that the first thing I can do to protect myself from Trump is to increase my income because that will give me options. A. If he cuts solid security, I won't be out, you know, in the park begging for food. And B. If I increase my income,

the options of where I can move open up. So somehow, this sixty two year old disabled individual needs to go from forty thousand a year to one hundred thousand a year, and I need to do it in a dying industry entertainment. I don't know what that looks like at this very moment. I don't, but I know that I can't give up that. Like you, I can see what needs to and that's what you need to do in your life right now. You need to really examine how is his presidency really

going to affect me? If you're not an immigrant, if you're white, he's not gonna round you up and put you on a bus. He could start a war over that, because these countries aren't going to just let him send aircrafts or busses full of people. They're gonna have an armed response. It's not gonna be pretty. But if you're white, you're going to be a little protected by your white privilege. That's just a fact. If you're a woman and you're not of child bearing years, then that issue is taken

off the table for you, the abortion issue. Are there going to be other women's issues. Yeah, you're not gonna get equal pay under the Trump administration. You're going to be treated like a second class citizen. However, your risk of being jailed thrown out of the country, that's not going to happen. Now. You will have men telling you what to do, and if you don't like it, that's gonna be a problem. So in reality, you're going to have to examine in your world how much is this

administration going to really affect you. Prices are going to go up. That goes back to money because of the Taurus. So money is really the thing that's going to insulate you from a lot of the horrors of this administration. If you can absorb the twenty percent increase in goods and services, if you can afford the rent or the mortgages that are going to continue to rise over the next four years, if you can pay your way through,

then you're already ahead of a lot of people. If you don't rely on Social Security, if you can purchase your own health plan, if you don't have pre existing conditions, because they're going to get Obamacare and we're going to have to go back to buying health insurance from companies that aren't going to want to sell it to you

if you have a pre existing condition. So again, money, if you have the money for the healthcare, if you have the money for the high risk pool you'll have to be in, then you're going to do better than if you don't. So they really are making America a place where only people of means can actually still not be terrified, because I know a lot of people are terrified,

they really are. And those people are people like you and me that don't make two hundred thousand dollars a year, that can't absorb a high increase in their price of health care, that can't absorb higher prices at the grocery store. That's who should be worried, and so that who should be formulating a planer And that you would mean, you know, what is your plan? What's your plan? Bit all subplane hide in the sand? What is your plan? Carrell here, and I'd like to take a moment to thank all

Thanks from thirty years of support to the loudest, craziest, most unhinded gay guy and his

little dog. And let's keep the party going as long as we can. So I'm gonna be honest, now more than ever, I need you as a patron at Patreon dot com, Forward slash Really Carrell, and I know that now more than ever, the last thing you want to do is either spend more money or even listen to So many people are tuning out. They're not listening to news, they're not listening to podcasts. They're just tuning out because they've had enough and they feel hopeless. You know, it's funny.

Robin Bertolucci got fired from KFI. The person that fired me twenty three years ago, twenty two years ago, just got fired herself and her husband who worked at KLAC because iHeartMedia is cutting back five percent of their entire workforce five percent. So there's a new program director at KFI. Now. The reason I could never fill in and never go back was that Robin Bertolucci hated me. So someone asked me, now that Robin Bertolucci is gone, are you going to

reapproach KFI? And I said, first of all, they're they're not progressive in any way, shape or form. They're you know Rush Limbad, you know that that ILK, you know Glenn Beck, that sort of stuff. Second of all, they don't have the money to really pay because even though they're doing well in LA, they're a three share, they're not number one anymore. And no one listens to AM radio and so KFI has mostly listened to on streaming.

And again they're not in my politics at all, and they're certainly not I can empower a gay person at KFI in nineteen ninety eight, I was able to get a job as a gay person at KFI. Today, probably not so that hope, even though Robin is fired, that hope is off my table. But you're gonna have to craft a plan. And I want you. I did this show today because I want you all to actually just think about what you're going to do, to really think. I do I really need to move? Yeah? I do.

I hate the weather first of all in the summer. I hate there's no gay community. Those are the first two reasons. And then second, I am in a blue dot in a red state, and I'm just tired of being around maga. I'm tired. These people betrayed me. They betrayed what was left of America. If you voted for Trump, you betrayed. You betrayed women, gays, you betrayed poor people, immigrants, you betrayed a lot. And I just don't want to

be around those people. I don't because I don't. I don't want to have to watch who I talk to. I don't want to have to watch what I say. I spent my entire life that way as a gay youth in America, having to watch where I was out, watch what I said, Watch how flambuoyant. I don't want to go back to that. So what do I do? What do you do? Hope is not going to be enough? Okay, so if you live in a really red area, you

may want to consider moving to a bluer state. California may have to set up their own disability in Medicare. They might have to set up a state program because when the Feds, states are going to be in a mess when he does this with Medicare and Social Security, they're gonna have a lot of residents who can't afford food and lodging, and they're not putting money back into the economy anymore. They're gonna need to do something universal, basic come, whatever it might be. But states are going

to have to respond. So what are you going to do? I'm serious, I want to hear from you in the comments. What are your thoughts as of this Monday than the what the eleventh of November? What are you just going to write it out? A lot of you are like, there's nothing I can do I have to just stay where I'm at. Hope he doesn't cut my income. And if he does, then I lose my home, then I lose my medica. You know, what are you going to do? Because quitting is handing them a victory. And when I

say quitting, I mean in your own life. You know, you can take as much control of your life as you can. For me, it's money. I have to do something about money. I can't keep living check to check because the checks are probably not going to keep coming. So I have to do something. That's the first before I move, before any of it. I have to start getting more revenue stream. I have to and I don't know how I'll do that at first, because if I get more than disability, then they'll cut me off of that.

So whatever whatever income stream I get, it's going to have to be one that is going to go for a year or two or three. What about you, I'd like to hear in the comments below, what are you going to do? Nothing? Write it out. Hey, I'm in California. I'm going to just stay here and hope that you know for the best. I'm in Oregon, I'm in Washington. I'm going to stay here. And hope for the best. What are you going to do if you're in Oklahoma

or Texas or Florida? What are you going to do if you're sixty year older and Social Security was going to be in your plan of financial planning? I would very much like to hear from you what is your plan for the next four years? Because living in fear, living in despair, all of that, that's not a way to live. And I said that this morning. I just I want to think about my life. I want to think about finding a partner. I want to think about

my health and Ember's health. I want to think about a show and what guest and things I should have on the show. You know, I don't want to think about the devastation of my life by a president. I don't want a president to have that much control over my life. And the only way that happens money. My friend Hannah, she's not overly concerned. She makes a couple hundred thousand a year. She's not overly concerned. She's a woman, but she's not going to have a baby. She's white,

so you know, she's not overly terrified. Are you? And if so, how are you dealing with that? Fear of what's coming up, because the best way to deal with the fear of the future is to take control of the present. We can't control what the Congress and what Trump's gonna do. We have no control over that. Now. They've been let loose with presidential immunity for four years, so there's nothing we can do about that. So all you can do is manage your own life. So what

are you going to do? Are you going to sit it out? Are you going to just stay where you're at? Are you really really thinking of leaving? Kathy Griffith made it known yesterday she's not going anywhere. But she lives in a mansion in California. She doesn't have to worry about Medicare or health care. She's got money. So it's easy for the liberal elites to say they're going to stay, they're gonna fight it out. They're not. Of course you are.

You've got millions of dollars. There's nothing he can do to you. If he takes away Medicare, you still have health care. If he takes away Social Security, you still have an income. If you know what a short of World war, if grocery price is double, you're rich. You can still afford it, So of course Kathy Griffith's gonna stay. Her literal life is not dangling in the balance. What

are you gonna do if yours is? I want to read your comments down below at YouTube dot com forward slash really Carell, or at patreon dot com forward slash really Corell. Remember I need you patrons now more than ever, more than ever. The future is very uncertain, So what are you going to do to make yours more certain? Because humans can't live that way. You can't live not

knowing from day to day that you're okay. If you live with this feeling of horror and dread and that at any moment the world is gonna collab, you're not gonna have a light. I am correl You who want to see? Who you want to be? Something hurt? Anybody? Leave your comment? What realistic are you thinking of doing in this new world?
