Episode description

Olympic Opening Wows; Excessive Force? Biden's DOA Proposal Karel Cast 24-90

The Opening Ceremony of the Olympics was perhaps the best I have ever seen. It celebrated all things French, and Americans seem to have an issue with the fact that there are other cultures that are more advanced socially than we are. Also, is your nationality also your heritage? Does Celine have French roots or is she strictly Canadian?

Two kids run on a to a field at a baseball game, and are escorted out in handcuffs? Good lesson, or over policing?

Biden wants term limits on the Supreme Court and a constitution amendment to stop Presidential immunity. Is it all just wishful thinking?

All right, The opening ceremonies were spectacular, so why didn't Americans get it? Also, nationality versus heritage, we're gonna talk about that. Was it excessive? Forced to handcuff children? Will show you the video. And Biden's Supreme Court proclamation is dead, uncensored, unfiltered, un hinged. It's the Cuell Cast. Listen daily on your favorite streaming service. It is the Crell Cast. I am Carell and Happy Monday to you. So glad I can be here with you today. So glad that you are

joining me. All right, there's lots to talk about today, but the talk of the weekend was the Paris opening ceremonies of the Olympics. I did watch them. I haven't watched one of the sports, but I watched the opening ceremonies. They were spectacular. I have never seen anything like it in my life. I doubt that I will again. An entire city used as a sound stage, with performers all over everywhere, and art and literature and history all merged

into one very very French and very very creative theme. Now, yes I do want to live in Paris, and yes my ancestry is French, but I have to tell you. The response on social media has shown what a bunch of classless, horrible bores many Americans are, and how many of them have never in their lives picked up a

history book. And it's really really sad actually. So first of all, let's get to the big controversy that they had, which was the Dionysus the back in all and Dionysus fashion show that had drag queens and transgendered people and had marvelous people, half of them half naked. God bless the French. And they turned a bridge into a runway, a fashion runway, and they did this fashion show. Americans lost their minds because they thought they were mocking the

Last Supper. Well, a, so what if they were? The painting of the Last Supper is not a snapshot of something that historically happened. It's a fantasy. It's not real, and it's a painting. Okay, so there never was a Last Supper. We don't even know that Jesus Christ really existed, and it's a painting. But Americans were like, how dare they? Oh, that butker guy that closeted the big closeted queer from

the football team that Travis Kelcey's on. Now. He doesn't think he's a closeted queer, but my dadar blips so loud when I see him, and he's so anti gay and so overly religious that he is just the type to be a big closeted queer. So this big closeted queer. Butcker oh, he went on with Bible verses and the downfall of humanity. Here's the thing. First of all, the French don't give a frack. But second of all, it

wasn't the Last Supper. It was about Greeks, because you know, the Olympics are Greek, and the artistic director wanted to celebrate the Grecian roots. And it was about the festival of Dionysus and a painting from sixteen forty five predating the Last Supper. So the renotion. But NBC did not show the opening, did not show the purple guy with the speedo that set it all up. They censored it, and subsequently they showed what people thought was the Last

Supper being mocked. So what if it was once again, I've seen the Last Supper with dogs, I've seen it with cats, I've seen the Last Supper on the Simpsons. But whatever. So these idiots took to social media to and high ranking idiots, high ranking people like this. Butker Guy took to social media to condemn what the Olympic Committee had already said was to celebrate Dionysus and the ridiculousness of violence again amongst humans. Wow did we get that one wrong? I mean big wow. Well I didn't.

I wasn't upset about it at all. I thought it was all fabulous. So then everyone was upset that Lady Gaga saying, they said, why wasn't it a French artist? First of all, she sang a song about feathers, which was first sung in nineteen sixty one. Second of all, she used to be a French dancer at French parties prior to being Lady Gaga. Third she was invited, okay, And fourth did she do a stellar job? No, there were problems. It was pouring freaking rain. So then we get, uh, oh,

we've had a problem, ladies and gentlemen. The cameras have gone out again. I am not going to stop the show for this, I have not. We'll just keep talking.

Speaker 2

We will be keep talking about Selli Gion and how fabulous she was how marvelous she was. Because we are live, and when you're alive, these kinds of things can happen.

Speaker 1

So just stay with me. Stay with me, Ladies and gentlemen, stay with me. Stay with me.

Speaker 2

Technical difficulty, technical difficulty, technical difficulty. Oh I think my camera died. I think the camera is actually dead. Okay, we will have.

Speaker 1

To stop this and then start to get Oh no, it came back. How about that. Okay, I'm just gonna keep going. You know what, it's live. It was a problem. We'll just keep going. We'll work our way through it. So anyway, So then the moment of all moments, Selene Dion at the edge of the Eiffel Tower, Selene who has had such problems stiff body syndrome. They didn't know

she'd ever sing again. And there she was, in a white deal or gown, looking godlike, godess like, overlooking all of Paris at night in the rain, all eyes on her, a billion viewers plus everyone that's there in front of her. I have to tell you, I was weeping like a baby,

just weeping like a baby. Boo who boohoo crying. She delivered The song Him to Love was written for Edith Peoff after her lover died in a plane crash on his way to see her, and Selene made it her own triumphantly came out, just did an incredible job, really showed the world what a superstar should be. Did it live the only performer to do it live? Okay, did it live? And just carried on. Then there was a big debate about is Celine dion French. Well, yes, she

is of French heritage and she is French Canadian. But I got in trouble with everyone in Canada, I think. I mean, I got five thousand comments not making that up because I said Celine Dionne is a French heritage. Okay, she's a French heritage, and then now she's Canadian. No, she's Canadian. No, I never said she wasn't Canadian. I

just said she's a Canadian Quebecui a French heritage. Now, granted, the French heritage goes back to sixteen thirty two and her family has been in Canada for three hundreds of years. But Canada, like America, was colonized. Okay, the only indigenous people there were the Indians like the mcmac and others, and other First Nation tribes. They are the indigenous Canadians. Everybody else is a transplant, an immigrant, and French is the language there for a reason, most the immigrants came

from France. So to say that she has French roots French heritage, is not be smirching her Canadian nationality, your citizenship. It is simply saying that some you know that in her lineage, on both parent sides, they are both from France, not her parents, like her great great great great great great grandparents are both from France on both sides, father and mother. So she has French heritage. Your nationality is

not your heritage. For instance, I'm French, Irish, two percent Indian and a little Italian, but mostly French fifty five percent French. So I'm of French heritage. My great grandparents were born in Canada and then my great great great great grandparents were born in France both sides. So to say I am of French heritage, I'm an American of French heritage. All I said was that Celine Gion is a Canadian Quebecui of French heritage. They lost their minds.

You'd have thought i'd e, you know, justin Trudeau in public you know, which I would do, But so I couldn't figure that. Why are they mad that I'm pointing out that she is a French heritage It says that Wikipedia she is from parents of French heritage. Her bio says,

you know, a French Canadian of French heritage. You know, people they want to erase the fact that we're all immigrants unless your family has lived in that country since that country's inception, they meaning, and I guess you know they Canadians have if their family's been there three hundred years, they are in fact Canadian. But that is not their heritage. Their heritage goes back to their ancestry, you know. And we are just a small piece of our family's timeline,

you know, we just were this big. So I'd like to hear your comments below. What are you? Do you consider yourself an American period or do you consider yourself a French American low American? If you're listening to me in Canada or Angola where I'm still in the top seventy or wherever you're listening to me, what do you consider yourself? Leave your comment down below? Do you consider your are you just an American? That's it? That's your heritage.

Your parents were raised here, your parents' parents were raised here. Like in Australia, they don't want to remember that they're from England. If you ask in Australian what's your heritage, you'll say I'm Australian. It's like, well, that's not your heritage, that's your nationality. But you know, unless you're an indigenous member of a tribe, you're not from Australia. Yes, I am hundreds of years yes, but what about before that?

Because your family is more than a few hundred years old, you go back to the original cave people, that's where you come from. So what is your heritage? I'd love to see your comments down below. Also, please comment down below on Patreon or on YouTube YouTube dot com, forward slash Really Correll, where you will like and subscribe YouTube dot com, forward slash really Correll or become a subscriber at Patreon, Patreon dot com, Forward slash early Correll. What

do you consider yourself? What is your heritage? I'd love to hear from you and what did you think of the opening ceremonies. Did you think they went too far not far enough? Are you mad at NBC for providing no context. Kelly Clarkson is a wonderful woman who's lost a lot of weight and a great singer, not a great host of the Olympics. They provided no context for anything we were seeing. You know, the Goddess of the river. That was that horse coming down the river on look

like it was on top of the river. That was Sequana Sequena. I can't say her name right, but goddess of the river, of the river Sain from which the river Sain gets its name. What did you think I'd love to hear from you down below YouTube dot com forward slash really Correll or patreon dot com forward slash really Corell. What did you think of the opening ceremonies? And since it was brought up in the opening ceremonies? What is your heritage? Do you consider yourself just an

American period? You're American, your parents are American, You're American, that's it. You're American? Or like me, I consider myself French American because a predominant portion of my family and my family's heritage, my lineage. Soone tried to argue with me online that no one cares about I said, if no one cares about their heritage. Why do we have ancestry dot Com in twenty three and me? So what are you? I would love to hear from you. I need a cup of tea, Gotta have it, Gotta have

my tea. Sorry, I'm gonna slurt my tea. Oh my throat. The smoke in the valley, smoke in the valley. There is smoke still in the valley here from California fires. So what do you think? What do you think of the opening ceremonies? And what is your heritage? Do you consider yourself American or a Canadian, or European or Angolan? Or do you consider yourself whatever it was further back. I like to think of myself as the original further back, which is French, because a no one a Native American

except Native Americans. All right, before we take a quick moment, Joe Biden. President Joe Biden today put forward a term limit on the Supreme Court eighteen years, which still seems long, and then enforceable ethics codes. He also wants a constitutional amendment to take away president's immunity from prosecution. Those sound really great, but all those are our campaign tools for Kamala Harris. Because a Congress will never in a million years mess with the Supreme Court when it's head by

Republicans who like the way it's ruling. So they're not going to go in and put on term limits. They're not going to go in and put ethics, you know, in place with penalties and all that. They're not going to do it. And so because we have a Republican House and Senate, nothing is going to happen. So it's nice that he's said saying this, but unless he does stuff by executive order, it's not going to get done because Congress is not going to do anything for the

rest of the year. We are paying these a holes for the rest of the year to campaign for their party. That's all we're paying for. They're not going to do any of America's work at all, and that's really sad. So what Biden's proposing needs to be done. The last constitutional amendment was nineteen ninety two. It would take Congress to propose it or constitutional convention, which we haven't had,

which Jefferson said we should have every four years. But it would take Congress to approve it and then vote on and then two thirds of the state ratifying it. It's not going to happen. We'll be right back, but that ain't gonna happen. Wish we'll think. I wish it would happen. But but both things be said today, just for the campaign, they're not going to happen. And I hope that explains it to you. I hope that puts in a kill here. And I'd like to take a

moment to thank all the pay to Patreon. Your support means the absolute world to me and the show. And let's keep the party going as long as we can. Alrighty, So I saw a video online today that it just horrified me. It really did, and I want to show it to you because I commented down below on the video and now I'm the bad guy. Of course, seems to happen to me a lot online. But I'm going to show

you the video. It's of two kids, and their big crime is they went out on the field during a baseball game, a major league game. They ran out onto the field. And these kids are probably twelve, maybe thirteen, a guy and a girl, little boy, little girl. I don't know where their parents are, by the way, because they're not seen in the video. But I'll show you the video here, and I want you to see what police did to them, and then I want to ask you if you feel it's appropriate. So here we go.

Get the video going. Get it going, Chucky, get it going, all right. Here you see them being taken up the stairs in handcuffs by police. Look at them they're just kids. Here, we'll watch it again. There they are being pulled up the stairs in handcuffs. They're probably twelve thirteen years old if that, and they're in handcuffs. Oh my god, be so I posted underneath. You know, they could have taken

the kids out of there without handcuffs. Uh, there's a lot of other ways the police could have handled this. If they were black, they would have tased them into or shot them. But there's a lot of ways the police could have handled this. They didn't. They handcuffed them. Now about two thirds of the posters are saying, yeah, good show these kids. I'm like their kids. Their kids. They didn't run out at a un meeting, you know, they didn't. They didn't run out at a Grand Prix

and stop track. They ran out on a baseball field during a stupid baseball game. And you're gonna put them in handcuffs and drag them through the stands, you know,

walk purp walk them. And yes, I said, there's a certain person that has committed thirty four felonies, been arraigned three times, never been in handcuffs, sold classified documents, tried to subvert an election, committed insurrection on television in front of everybody, never been in handcuffs, But two twelve year old kids who run out on the field get put in handcuffs and taken out of the game. People from other countries are saying, you know, United States police are sad.

They are sad to have to do this to kids. So I want to ask you, you just saw the video, If you're just listening to the audio, you know what happened. Two small kids twelve years old ran out onto the field and then they got arrested. They were in misbehaving. They weren't little saints about it. They are little brats. They got arrested and put in handcuffs and escorted out of the venue. Now I don't know if they went down to the jail or if they just got told

they can't come back. It doesn't tell us what happened once they got out of the venue. But they were taken out in handcuffs at twelve years old. Some say, good, they'll never do this again, you know. I say it's a blight and a shame on law enforcement that they had to do this. What are your comments down below on the two kids being taken out in handcuffs for

running on a baseball field. I really need to hear what you think about this, because I'm telling you right now, and let me explain to you why I feel this way. I feel this way because I think we have lost all civility and I think we punish people. We punished the low hanging fruit more severely, and we do it to give ourselves this false sense that there's equality in policing. There's not. We both know if they were black, they would have been treated differently. We also know if they

were rich, they would have been treated differently. If those were the daughters of Elon Musk, who all hate him. But you know what I'm saying, if their parents had been sitting in a VIP box, this would all have gone differently. But we watched this and say, oh, yeah, see, if you break the law, you should be punished. We just gave presidents immunity. Donald Trump has yet to be punished.

He hasn't even been sentenced for the thirty four felonies, and there's no telling when that's going to happen or if so. What do you think of two kids being escorted through a crowd in handcuffs. I just think if this were the fifties or the sixties or the seventies, they would have found the parents, they would have scolded everybody, maybe asked them to leave, and that would have been that. But now you handcuff a child, that's who we are as a people. We handcuff children, but not grown felons

if they're rich. If you're rich and you're a grown felon, we don't handcuff you. If you're poor, or if you're a kid, or if you're black. If you're weaker than the police, than all the fury. But if you're not weaker than the police, if you're stronger in social stature, if you're stronger in political stature, if you're stronger than the police, then they treat you like a star.

Speaker 2

You know.

Speaker 1

I've seen them give mass shooters McDonald's I A'm making that up? Was it? And Kyle Rittenhouse who killed two people? Wasn't he taken to lunch before they brought him to the jail. And yet these two kids at that age handcuffed. Now it may give them street credit, they may end up going back to school. People, But yeah, yeah, you bravo. I don't know, but I'd like to hear from you YouTube dot com forward slash really Carell down below in the comments or patreon dot com forward slash really Carrell

for my lovely patrons who I love and adore. Lovely seeing you all yesterday. Rachel, you looked incredible. James, I'm so glad you're leaving Ohio. P K, it was marvelous to see you. Randy Rainbow, sorry, Randy Radar as always a delight to see you. Everybody that was there. Nikki, it was lovely to see you. There are more people. I just kept you know, Ray Renati with your Adobe background, which looked incredible. And he's off to Paris next month

or in September. Good for him. I love these listeners. These are core listeners, people that have been with me forever, and I love talking to them every other Sunday and more so, you all are invited. There's ninety patrons and so all ninety of you are invited. So when you get the link, just click on it, all right. So kids being taken out for running on a Bay base ball field, A baseball field, not a freeway, not a racetrack, not a UN security council meeting, a baseball field, taken

out in handcuffs. That's just I just I gotta tell you, I gotta tell you. All right, Well, I've actually gone over all the topics I prepared for you today, which is fine with me. Sometimes I whiz through them, sometimes I don't, And I gotta tell you. Let's go back to a topic I did last week real Fast at the here at the end of the show about putting in the work. Okay, I did a topic last week that I'm not getting what I want because I just don't seem to have the energy to put in the

work like I used to. And it's funny because I then heard from several very close friends who had not heard the show, who said the exact same. They're making lists for themselves, they're making plans for themselves because they don't they don't feel like themselves at the moment. They don't feel like they're putting in enough work to, you know, be who they want to be. And I want to revisit that because since that time I have started putting in the work. Today I'm talking to Free Speech TV.

I don't know if anything's going to happen from that I used to be on it. I don't know that they want me back. I don't know in what configuration. If they did, they're not just sitting there waiting for a Correll show, so maybe they just want to chat about future possibilities. But I requested a meeting and they

said yes, and so this afternoon we're gonna chat. I don't know if anything will come of it, but it's more than I have done in the last couple years to try to expand the brand and get back on you know, television in front of people and all of that. I've also started putting myself on a schedule, including for the show and going live at ten o'clock in the morning Monday through Friday. I will be here at ten am every day, So if you're around ten am Pacific

time one pm on the East Coast. If you're around I don't know what time it is in Angola or Europe, it's nighttime and you're at six o'clock in the afternoon in Europe. But if you're around, tune in on YouTube or at my website Reallycorrel dot com. I'm going live on my website as well, Reallycorrel dot com. And so I have started because doing that topic made me realize I'm never magically going to feel like putting in the work. Nor am I magically just going to have stuff happen

to me without it? And since I do want to move out of Las Vegas, I can't take another summer here. This morning it was eighty five degrees and we all thought it was cool. I was at the park and everyone's like, oh, isn't it cool and lovely? I said, only in Las Vegas would eighty five be considered cool and lovely. Okay, any other city that'd be sweltering heat, But here we were like oh. I was like, give me a sweater child, eighty five burruh. So I want to leave here, I do, and i'd like to I'd

like for it to be before next summer. Some eighty year old plus guy invited me to stay with him and his wife in Vancouver in a four bedroom house, and some of my Patreon patron said, you should do it and do shows about it. Maybe I will, I don't know, and I'll contact this older gentleman and say, well, what's your house look like? Is there room for ember? Let's let's get it going, all right. I am Corel. I want you to be who you want to be,

so I didn't hurt anybody. We've got a few more minutes left in the show, but I just want to get that out there because sometimes I get it rushed. I did a T shirt, by the way. I'm gonna get some samples of it this week. On one side it says Libertay Egatite Fraternity. The other side it says Liberty Equality Fraternity with the Eiffel Tower in the middle. I did this design and in the next week or two, I'm going to start offering T shirts for sale through Amazon.

And so that's if I get approved, and I think I will, So starting in about a week, I'm gonna be having merchandise. I'll be having I'm gonna do a T shirt for Uncensored, Unfiltered, Unhinged, because many of you are all three of those things, just like me. And I'll have a T shirt done that says be who you want to be, as long as it didn't hurtn you, buddy. So I'm gonna start putting some of my phrases on T shirts. And you know, it won't make me a fortune,

but every little extra bit helps. So there'll be a special price for Patreon members versus non Patreon members, and I believe they'll be available on Amazon, and I'll double check that as we get going. But I'm going to start offering merchandise, so I hope once that's being offered that you guys will, in fact, you know, purchase it. And they'll be cute shirts. I'm doing the designs myself. You know, I'm not. I'm not, you know, not the greatest artist in the world. But they'll be cute. So

tune in for that and the first one. Because I really share those values. Liberty, equality, fraternity. I want you to think about those. That's the French, that's from the French Revolution. It's their national saying liberty, equality, fraternity. You know, why can't those be our values? Why can't those be the values? You know, in the United States, if you ask for our national catchphrase, they'll say, in God we trust. I don't. I don't trust in God. I don't believe

in God is written. I just don't. So as a national you know, what is our national What do you think our national phrase is? Do you think it's in God we Trust or do you think it's liberty and justice for all? What do you think if you were asked in a foreign country, What is your nation's motto? What is the motto of the United States? What would what would you answer? So down below you're going to comment on if you thought the kids being handcuffed was cool.

Down below, you're going to comment what you think the motto of the United States is. Down below, you're gonna comment what you thought of the opening ceremonies. And you're gonna comment what nationality? What if I had if I asked you, what's your nationality, you'd say American? But if I asked you what's your heritage, what would you answer? So those are all the things you're gonna comment on down below. Please comment on them because those comments keep

the video being seen by lots of people. Okay, we'll see you tomorrow at ten am Pacific times and whatever time zone you're in. Please, Jordan, I am Krel. Be who you want to be though the heart you buddy. Don't get to leave your comments, like subscribe the patren all that stuff. It's all right there for you and at my website really correl dot com. And of course it's broadcasting from a completely different point of view yours. Listen daily to the Correll Cast on your favorite streaming service m
