Oh what night. Oh my god, the Obama's deliver a one to two punch at the DNC and knock out the room. We'll be talking about that. Also, Obama said something about social media that I want to talk about today, and should you kill your dog when you die? Uncensored, unfiltered, un hinged. It's the cuell Cast. Listen daily on your favorite streaming service. It is the cREL Cast. I am Corel, so very glad that you are joining me on this Wednesday, August twenty First, oh, what a night back in August
at the DNC. What a very special time for me. Obama's killed it. What a night? Oh yes, honey, it was a night. Uh. First of all, I could not have been happy. Patti de Belle. Can we just talk about Pattle de bell being paddlea bell at eighty years old coming out there and singing, you are my friend, dada And she did her hand there. Dear dear, dear deal dall. Oh, patty girl, I mean we're luck. You shouldn't roll on the floor because she is so known for that. For those of you who didn't see that,
go watch it on the web. It happened at about four thirty our Times, seven thirty East Coast. Uh. Then they had a lot of speakers, a lot of raw, raw, a lot of the roll call was fabulous, done down for what they had a party, honey. And then Michelle Obama, Michelle Obama, Michelle Obama, Michelle Obama. She looked fabulous. Oh my god, she looked fabulous. Her speech was just just on the mark. Uh. And I'd have voted for her for president right then and there. I'd have been like, oh, okay,
President Michelle Obama, you got it. I mean she could win. That woman. Oh what a speaker, What a speaker, What a woman. Uh. And in her speech, she laid it out. First of all, she she brought up the whole race issue because somebody should. I mean, we're not gonna talk about the fact that America is still kind of racist. Well she did. Oh and she talked about the lies
they're gonna tell about Kamala and Tim. She said, you know what, now that they're out there, you know, and and this is what the other side is gonna do. They're gonna tell truth speak Charles. They're gonna try to tell lies. They're gonna not be able to speak their truth because their truth is going to be all filtered by the MAGA headphones, and so we got to be sure. We got to act up. We got to do something. As she said, when we hear those lies, we can't
let those lies go by because they're gonna lie. She said it, Michelle said it. They're gonna lie. They're gonna try to cheat, they're gonna try to steal. She's like, this ain't no easy fight. Oh y'all be row ron right now and having a good time, and Kamala's out having filled stadiums and Tim's out and it's all fabulous. She said, uh uh no, no, no, She said, this is gonna be an uphill battle people, and even if they win, they still gonna try to say that they lost.
Oh honey, Michelle laid it out and laid out everybody in the room, laid them all out. Michelle was taking names, had receipts. You couldn't argue with the thing. That woman's it. Now, some Democrats are pissed off because Michelle did not pay a huge homage to Joe Biden. Well what if Michelle doesn't really care for Joe Biden? What if she thinks, you know, why is it if you're a Democrat and you're a high ranking Demo crat that you have to fall over yourself and wet the bed to praise Joe Biden.
I like Joe Biden. He's done a great job as president. He was great, as he's been a great politician his whole life. He has. But I never had dinner with him. I never been behind the scenes with him. Michelle has you know, do Michelle and Joe get along? I don't know. But is it her responsibility to praise Joe Biden when she's there to launch Kamala Harris? Now, you know what the beauty of our country is you can support whoever you want to support, and not support who you don't
want to support. And if Michelle Obama didn't feel like wetting her pants over Joe Biden, which he may have been doing backstage, then you know what, she don't have to She don't have to what it was disrespectful. This was supposed to be his convention. Well it ain't and it never was supposed to be. When that man came into office, he said he was going to be a trend additional president and then would pass the torch. And suddenly he decides to run for reelection that time, Joe Biden.
And while I am grateful to him for what he's done, I am thankful to him for what he's done, I ain't gonna fall over myself to praise him. He did his job, and he did it well. There's the praise right there. I just did it. He did his job, he did it well. I don't have to really say much more about it. He did his job, he did it well. What more you want me to say? The same with Michelle Obama. She ain't got to go out there and praise every Democrat, you know. She was there
to do a job, and she did it. She fired up, She got them fired up, fired up, she got them saw, she got them fired up, and she told them you got to do something. You got to go make phone calls. You gotta go canvas. You cannot just sit around and think, oh, voting is enough. Uh. Even Obama said, don't boo vote, honey. This is an uphill battle. And Michelle knows it, and
she gave it to us. And then came her husband and as he said, I'm the only fool they could get to speak after Michelle Obama because I thought that I thought I am a brilliant speaker. I would not want to speak after her. Oh hell no, because she got him. Honey, she got him, she got me, she got everybody. But out came Barack, the elder statesman. Who Barack is young. You know, he was a young president and now he's being called the elder statesman in a
party that had an eighty one year old nominee. Barack's the elder statesman. Okay, whatever. So he came out and gave a long speech like forty five minutes. Loved it, loved every minute of it. He is one of the greatest oratorists in smartin Luther King Junior. He is a brilliant public speaker. He is in gate. Well, that's why he was president. I mean, he's talking to you. And one of the things he said that really struck home for me is from the moment Donald Trump descended his
solid gold staircase. Everything has been about Donald Trump and his supporters are too weird and too stupid to understand that that man doesn't care about anybody but himself. Even in this election, everything's been about him, As Obama says, his strange obsession with crowd sizes. You know, it's all about him. Nowhere in Trump's platform are the American people. Nowhere, It's all about Trump. I lost the election. I was robbed. I this I that I'm prettier than Kamala Harris. I
get more people at my events. Me me, me, I was shot. No, he wasn't me, me, me, Not one thing about you or me, because you don't care. He's an sociopathic, narcissist, diaper weton idiot, and you don't care about you. And Obama made that very clear. He's all this man does not care about you. He cares about himself. This election is about him, not about you or me. Donald Trump has made this election about him, him rising to power, what he wants to do first day for himself,
go after his political enemies, reward his billionaire friends. Nowhere in his platform. And and oh honey, did you hear the speaker that used to work for Trump who said he calls his followers basement dwellers. They are, but who knew that he saw it that way? He makes fun, mocks and degrades his own followers because he may be a narcissistic sociopath, but even he knows that they're freaking weird, and so he calls them basement dwellers, all kinds of things. Oh,
President Obama, he took me there. He made me miss him, He made me miss Michelle. He made me miss there eight years their era. He was powerful, He rallied the crowd. No one can rally the crowd like President Obama. He was fabulous. And so many things that he said ring true about grace. You know, I try. I wanted to disagree with him. I did. I thought, Ah, this is the Democrats problem. They tell us we gotta like the
other side. They tell us that we have to extend these people courtesies that you know, they haven't caught up yet, that they what He's still in his brain, he still doesn't understand. They don't want to catch up. They don't want grace, they don't want to be treated well. They're at war and to them, we're the enemy, and they don't want to get along, and they don't want to
live next to us. Obama talked about the fact that in America, you can agree disagree politically, but you can still understand that we all got to live here together, and that what's good for your neighbor is good for you. If your neighbors kids have health care, that's good for you because if they get sick, you're not going to get sick. If your neighbor is flourishing financially, that's good for you because the neighborhood, you know, stays nice and
because they're able to maintain their house. And you know, so someone else doing well is actually good for you. Well, yeah, it's okay for Democrats to think that, but the GOP don't. You know, the GOP doesn't care if their neighbors are doing well. They want to live somewhere with no neighbors. Okay, Elon Musk doesn't want neighbors, you know, George Soros, all of them. None of the billionaires, the thousand plus billionaires in the United States, which Obama talked about the wealthy
was odd because he is wealthy. But they tell you know, he talked about the wealthy and how they're not your friend. They don't want democracy, they want autocracy. They want someone to give them what they want, and that's Donald Trump. And what Obama pointed out is when Donald Trump speaks, he speaks to a group of a thousand people, the billionaires. That's who his constituents are. That's who he cares about.
That's the rules that he's gonna make. Oh lord, was it a one to two punch, honey, and knocked us all out? Knocked us all out. It's a shame. Kamala wasn't there to hear it. She was off in Wisconsin doing a rally at the same place Trump got his nomination and she filled the place. But they both said the same thing. We gotta vote, we gotta fight, we gotta keep this energy going for seventy seven days, and we'll try to get the song out for you Monday
or Tuesday. If THEA records at Thursday, let's hope. I've heard the tracks now. The tracks are great. Just waiting for THEA to record. We're not going back. I'm gonna get that out. That's gonna be my part to help keep up the momentum. A great song written by me, sung by a million selling artist, THEA Austin. You know that that is gonna be one of the ways that I contribute. How are you gonna contribute? What are you gonna do to make sure Kamala wins. Yes, you're gonna vote,
But what else you're gonna do? You're gonna go down and volunteer and get on the phone. You're gonna write some postcards, You're gonna go knock on doors. Well, no, you're gonna have a million reasons down below in the comments why you can't do any of that. You will, You'll have a million reasons down there of why you can't do any of that. But guess what we all have to I am I've already contacted my place here
in Nevada, the Democratic National Committee here in Nevada. I'm gonna be writing postcards and I'm gonna go watch the Kamalist speech tomorrow night at their office is and the hour before that we watch it. They said, bring a laptop because they want you to do some work. Okay, I'm gonna pitch in. I'm gonna try to do more than just talk about it. I'm gonna do what Michelle Obama said, I'm gonna do something. What are you gonna do? Michelle said, you got to do something other than vote.
Have you talked to all your family members and friends and make sure they have a voting plan, make sure they're registered to vote, make sure they can get to the polls or their requested a mail in ballot, Do you know, have you talked to all your friends about their voting plans? Have you? You got to We can't take it for granted because she has to win. Every day more horror comes out about what they will do if they win. She has to win. And that's what
Michelle said. Look, Tim and Kamala are human. They gonna make mistakes. But don't start wringing your hand and saying, oh, did we make the wrong choice? Oh are they gonna wear? Uh uh? Because no matter what, no matter what mistakes they make or have made, they are the only choice at this point to put in the White House. So don't be hand ranging. Instead of handwranging, do something. And I'm gonna repeat what she said, Do something, all right?
President Obama made a statement last night that was so profound to me. I wrote it down and it has changed my entire outlook on something. I'm going to share with you what that is when we come back. Also, if you die and you have a dog and you want it buried with me, should the family respect that wish? We aren to talk about that as it in the news today about the French star who died and wants his dog buried with it. Hey Grell here, and I'd like to take a moment to say thank all the

his little dog. And let's keep the party going as long as we can. Sometimes you hear something so profound and it just resonates with you so much that you have to write it down. And I did that last night. When President Obama said a very poignant line. It was just part of a larger sentence. It wasn't like, you know something, he drove home again and again. But boy, oh my god, did it stick with me and it fits right into my life right now because okay, so
let's be real. Yesterday afternoon I had a major depression. I mean to where I thought, you know what, maybe your life is just over. Yeah. Yeah, oh, I had a major depression. Yesterday afternoon. I tried to call some venues in San Jose to see if I could, you know, get booked there or rent them out so I could do a show in San Jose. And the ones I called were either gone because of COVID or just weren't interested.
Just now, we're you know, we're fine. We get our comics through this or we don't rent it out or whatever. And how many social yesterday I heard how many social media followers do you have? And you know all this
other stuff. So if you live in San Jose and you know of a comedy club or a little theater, I prefer a little theater that would hold one hundred you know, one hundred and fifty people, please put it in the comments below because the ones I'm calling they're like, oh no, we hold five hundred people and we would never do a show that small because I said, well, under you know, one hundred and fifty people, and they're like,
oh no, we would. So if you know of a place that hopefully serves cocktails and has a stage and can accommodate a hundred people or so, and it's in the Bay area, the razroom is gone, you know, and a Planet Gemini in Monterey is not in the Bay Area, and so I need a place like in San Jose. So if you know of a place, please let me know. So that was frustrating thea not getting to the song yet.
It's frustrating. I understand her reasons for not being able to record it this week when I needed it recorded, but you know, and she's doing it free, so I can't, you know, But that's frustrating. The lump that I'm supposed to have ultrasound. Now my insurance says, oh, the general surgeon can't order that ultrasound because it's in your chest. You have to go through our breast care group and that referral's been put in. I have a PPO, but
they're like, that referral has been put in. They'll contact you in three to five days and then you can set an appointment with them. I'm like, I don't need to see another doctor. Two doctors have now seen me, dermatologists, general surgeon. They both want an ultrasound of it. Why do I need to? But you know what, that was an hour of my life yesterday. So that's frustrating. Money is frustrating, you know, yesterday afternoon, do your career. I love my podcast, but I need one hundred times. I
need more than four hundred views of my videos. I need like four thousand, forty forty thousand, and I think I'm good enough to get that. So why why isn't it happening? So I was depressed yesterday and then I posted on social media on threads at really corell just a picture of my kitchen, which most of you have seen with the open shelves, and I very flippantly said, God, I love open shelves. You know, the kitchen is a work zone. Why would you put cabinets in the way
of what you need to reach? That's all the post says, whyever would you have cabinets when you have to reach, you know, up and back so much. It is the most commented on post I have ever posted, over one thousand vitriolic, mean, horrible answers. It looks like crap, your kitchen sucks, it's too cluttered, blah blah blah, on and on and on, horrible, mean, mean, derogatory cursing. And that's all that social media is nowadays. It is not healthy.
We should not be on social media for anything but promotion of your brand, or you should use it as a tool as a marketing tool. That's all it should be. And I'm lonely, and it's very lonely here in the summer, as you know, because we've got to stay in the house and such. But I'm using social media as a way to connect and I don't know these people I'm connecting with, and I haven't met anybody that I'm going to go out with or anything. It just makes you
feel less lonely. If you see what people are saying about a topic and then you chime in, you feel less lonely, but you're not making a connection. Well. President Obama said, we have become a nation that idolizes all the wrong things. We idolize fame, we idolize money. He's talking about influencers, by the way, and his next line, we constantly try or wait, I don't want to get it wrong. We constantly seek the approval of strangers on our phones. When he said that that was it, I
lost it. I lost it. We constantly seek the approval of strangers on our phones. I thought that should be the death of social media right there, that sentence from that learned individual should be the death of social media. Obama doesn't post anything except to promote the Obama brand, to get a message out about what they're doing, to show photos about what they're doing, to promote their TV shows or their other endeavors. But he doesn't comment on
other people's posts. He doesn't get into any kind of arguments online with people. He doesn't seek. He doesn't go out and seek the approval of strangers on his phone. He doesn't and most celebrities most many do, but most do not. They only use social media to promote their brand, and if they give you a peek behind their life, it's really for their fans. When Barbarus Dreissen shows a picture of her dogs. She's not putting that out there
for the entire world. She's putting it out there for her followers, for her fans, And so that comment we are constantly seeking the approval of strangers on our phones, has suddenly changed my entire relationship with social media. In one fell swoop and all the vitriolic comments that I'm getting over just a picture of my kitchen my first thing to go viral. It has been viewed over five hundred thousand times. Half a million people have seen my kitchen.
I post online comments from the show. I post minute snippets of the show. I post articles that I've written about important things in the world. I have posted all kinds of socially relevant content. Gets hardly any views. I post a picture of my kitchen and simply say that I don't like cabinets and that you you know, because you got to reach and work. And it gets five hundred thousand views and over a thousand comments. Now it
has gotten six hundred likes as well. So six hundred people thought, yeah, I like that, but a thousand people have chosen to say derogatory negative and their pigs they all say the same thing, Well, why it would all get covered with grease. I'm like, no, I don't use that much grease, and I have venting. None of my stuff in my kitchen gets covered with grease, And yes, I clean it every week. All the dishes are washed almost every week whenever I do a load of dishes.
What happens is the top shelf fills up from my daily use and then the bottom shelf. I put in the dishes from the shelf, not all at once, like one day it'll be one set, the next daybe the other. But they get washed pretty much on a weekly basis. And are they covered with grease and dust? No? I don't know what kind of pigs these people are because they're frying animal products. Someone said my bacon grease would get I said, well, then give up bacon. You know,
I don't. I don't fry things. I do not deep fry anything. I use the air fryer or the Brava. The Brava I do not, you know, like get this much grease going, And no, that's just not good for you. I don't do it. I might eat stuff like that at a restaurant every so often, but I don't deep fry anything, you know. I use the air fryer, and that doesn't get you know, grease all over the kitchen. So when Obama said that to me, I said, what
are you doing, Chuck, what are you doing? You should be using you know, yesterday, in my depression, I probably spent three hours total on social media, just scrolling through threads, scrolling through TikTok, scrolling through Instagram, And I thought, that's three hours. You're not writing, you're not reading a book. You're not going out to meet somebody, you're not going to a coffee shop downtown. You're not you know, you're
not doing anything. You're sitting on your sofa in a darkened room at two in the afternoon because the shades have to be drawn because of the sun, and you're reading what total strangers are saying online or what they're saying about you or your post. My relationship with social media is not healthy, and Barack Obama pointed it out. You know, I kept thinking, well, it's you need to go viral, you need the show to go viral. You need That doesn't really help. It doesn't really help. What
if one thing goes viral. You might make a little money, you might, but it doesn't really get you. For instance, five hundred thousand people have seen my kitchen, how many people hit the follow button? None? I didn't get any new followers. Five hundred and six hundred liked my kitchen. You think they'd at least follow me. Nope. And now you know, I know these numbers that clubs want, these
numbers and everything else. But these numbers don't mean anything anymore, you know, And this era of the influencer, influencers are mostly a holes and I don't want to be that. So if I can't succeed in the entertainment industry without being online three four hours a day, well then I guess I'll never succeed because now all I want to do is post about the show. And the only people I want to interact with are you. That's it. That's it. I will comment about what you leave under my videos
on YouTube or on Patreon. I will interact directly with you my listeners on YouTube or Patreon. But interacting with people that have two hundred followers because they insulted me or because they said something stupid online, that's just done. So Barack Obama's statement that we constantly are seeking the approval of strangers on our phone. That really hit me. Social media is not good. You shouldn't be on it.
If you want news, read a newspaper, subscribe to applenews, go to news dot Google dot com or news dot Yahoo dot com and see a newsfeed. Get an app that just aggregates news. But you don't need social media. And if you want to connect with a person, connect with an actual person. Don't just connect with people online because it's not connection, it's not real. And Obama pointed that out, and it struck me, honey, it struck me,
all right. So an actor, a French actor, died, very famous French actor, and he wanted his ten year old dog euthanized and wrapped in his arms and then buried with him. The family has said, no, we ain't doing it. He's dead, We're not killing the dog. And so it's a big online kerfuffle. It's like, well, it's his last wish and it was his dog. Listen, I know that Ember would not have the life that I give her if I die. It's one of the reasons I am
literally trying to live at least another ten years. And that's the truth. I know that sounds sad and tragic, that I want to live because of my dog. But I do because I have given her a life that she is accustomed to, and I want her to have that life. If I die, she wouldn't have that life. But do I think if I die that they should
put down Ember. No, she may not have the same life, and she may be miserable for the rest of her life without me, but at least she will be alive, and at least she will be loved by somebody and cared for. Now, whether she's the same dog or has the same life, or you know, she might be depressed the rest of her life, but at least I didn't kill her because I die. So what do you think? It's a last wish written in the will. We're supposed to respect someone's last wishes. The family has said, no,
what would you do if a loved one died? The Egyptians used to do this when you died. They used to kill your pets and bury them with you. What would you do? Would you respect that wish? Put the comment down below. I am corel of you who you want to be son to hurt anybody like and subscribe to the comments down below, because now you're the only ones I'm will be interacting with on us. I ain't
interacting with anybody on threads or Instagram anymore. Nope. I'm not going to constantly speak to the approval of strangers on Nope. Barack snapped me out of He might as well slap me in the face. He mousewell reached through the deep bloodcasting from a completely different point of view yours. Listen daily to the Corell Cast on your favorite streaming service.
