Yes, what a title. All the events we probably should've covered over the last few months. But hey, we're up to date now. Ticking off some huge events, let us know your thoughts.
Unfortunately for all ears, the return of Jules and Joe is here! No one asked for it, and we don't care (publically)! This episode recaps what happened since episode 11, which was quite a while ago. So long ago, we actually need a part 2...
In episode 11 we have Europe's tallest and most handsome QB, it is of course Benjamin Klever. Benny talks to us about running Europes biggest tournament, some of the toughest players he played and Germany's squad going into the World Championships.
It's episode ten! Yes TEN! We've made it to double digits and what better way to spend it than with GB's very own defensive coordinator, Andrew Gibson. We talk BAFA, Hornets and GB all crammed into the episode!
Episode 9, it's Jules, Joe and the one and only (thank goodness) Kenny Bello. The man who plays, coaches, develops and what ever other verb you can think of joins us talking UK Dukes and his playing career.
It's episode 2 of season 2 and miraculous the guys have managed to get Europe's finest defender onto the Pod. Niklas Johansen (backwards hat guy) is one of Denmark's finest players, playing both sides of the ball and featuring in almost every single one of FFW's 5 Toughest Players. In the episode, we talk about Danish flag, the Armadillos roots and look forward to the World Championship that was moved to Israel for December 2021.
You didn't ask for it. But they're back for season 2. Jules and Joe are back to discuss the long, bleak off-season of flag being played absolutely nowhere!
Rounding out our countdown of the top 10 teams in Europe, we brought on GB QB Vince Machi. Vince is the heart and soul of the 2 time BAFA champs, Baker Street Buttonhookers! Vince is known all around Europe, as he attends pretty much every event possible, you may know as him "American guy" or the man who only throws "lasers"! P.s we apologise for his microphone, but he makes up for that in phenomenal knowledge of the game and teams!
By some miracle, Jules & Joe have managed to wangle GB women's HC Dean Whittingslow onto the pod! In the episode, they talk all things women's GB, Dean's QB experience at the Euro's and much more. Oh, and Dean tells us one player he would love on the GB women's roster!
Yes, we’re as shocked as you that were still going. However we’ve managed to wangle one of Europe’s best flag brains onto the show. Devin started off in the US and has played football in a multitude of countries. We even talk a little something on his GB trial and how he could be Denzel Washington’s brother!
In episode 3 of the Jules & Joe Show, we are joined by the UK's best route runner, Steve Mongey & GBs own defensive MVP from their trip to the Euros in 2020! In the ep, the guys talk about how they got into flag football, transferring teams, GB camps and a proposed North v South All Star game...
On the second episode of the Jules & Joe Show, we welcome two of Western Europe's most well known players. Both Lev & Aljoša are very well travelled and extremely knowledgeable about their respective countries. On the pod, they help kick off our countdown of the top 30 teams in Europe. Their knowledge is hugely needed to paint a picture of the lesser known teams. Oh and Joe now gets Slovenien lessons, as needed. Apologies for any minor audio deficiencies, we're still ironing out any kink...
On the first episode of the Jules & Joe show, we are spoilt for superstar guests in Andrew Gibson, GB defence coordinator and Glasgow Hornet. Plus, Harry Potter lookalike, GB defence captain, and ex Manchester Titan, David McInally. On the pod, we talk thoughts on last year's European Championships in Israel, who wins Britbowl if 2020 wasn't cancelled, our worst moments on a flag field and more.
