Joe begins with the MLB expansion topic. He reviewed an article he saw and gave opinions on what we think are the candidates for when Rob Manfred officially opens up the process.
It may not happen but keep an eye on the situation in Arizona. The owners want (some) public funding to help renovate Chase Field, and in a roundabout way, said they might have to move if they don’t get it.
The MLB uniform issue is getting worse as the MLBPA are noting additional complaints about this year’s uniforms including “see through pants” and supply chain issues.
EA Sports is bringing back their college football video game, and for a foundation game since it’s the first one in over 10 years, it will have all kinds of features, including student athletes getting paid for their NIL in the game. Even Notre Dame is in as they were the last school to hold out.
Finally, the College Football playoff committee is already looking to expand beyond the 12-team format for next year. Joe has a better idea and format.
