Episode description

On this Saturday show, Joe begins with what it’s like to live the apartment life. The fire alarm went off an hour before the show. So instead of doing final prep for the pod, he took a walk to get away from the unnecessary noise and the idiocy of some people who had the front door popped open and had the guts to say “hey, leave that box there”. Shaking. My. Head.

Rockin’ Reese knocks and we catch up on the men’s and women’s tourneys and even talked about a topic that I try to avoid…politics. Nice to know Reese has the same mindset I have, which is having some slapstick fun showing some past pasts of Biden vs. Trump depicting both of them in several movie ads.

Joe then talks the Phillies home opener, which he couldn’t go to. But he does note that he kind of agrees with John Bolaris with the fact that the game could have been played, but notes the pressure of the Mets and Orioles pushing back their home openers, and the backlash of waiting to the very last minute to postpone game 3 of last year’s World Series did not make it look good that it was 80 and (mostly) sunny during the time the game would have been played. Oh well, something shifted that the storm arrived later, according to the AccuGuess meteorologist Joe Quills!

Finally, Joe looks over the Saturday Kentucky Derby prep races: the Blue Grass at Keeneland, the Santa Anita Derby at Santa Anita, and the Wood Memorial at Aqueduct. You can see my thoughts on NoFilter.net, but if you want to fast forward to the 90 minute mark since this is getting out so close to the first race, those 3 races are the final half hour of today’s show!
