S2 Ep 21 - No Filter Show 3/30/23

On the Thursday show, Joe begins with a dad joke that bombed. Then we got to some odds and ends. There will be an extra show on Monday night as Joe will tackle the Wednesday card at Turf Paradise. There will also be the usual shows on Tuesday and Thursday, and the audio only show on Friday night.

Joe talked about Opening Day. Joe insists that Aaron Judge has a natural upper cut swing that leads to a ton of homers, because he’s 8 foot 7 or whatever he is! Then Joe talks Phillies and blames the loss on the roof being closed midgame and the indictment of Donald Trump (yes, he’s kidding!).

Then Joe goes on a rant about how MLB schedules Opening Day. Why are there so many cold weather sites that open at home? Cold weather is inevitable, but why not take advantage of warmer weather as the season starts earlier and earlier? Joe mentions that Lamar Jackson requested a trade from the Ravens, but Joe would not sign Jackson. Joe feels that as a running QB, he is going to lose a step soon and it might be the end of the career.

Then ThePenguinAZ joins and we talk baseball and Joe suggests with prices at MLB so high to take a family of four to an MLB came, why not go to a minor league game? It’s less on the wallet, and maybe you can create memories for a lifetime there.

Joe also was looking ahead to the Phillies home opener, and mentioned some of the new food items that will be available this year at CBP. Joe also showed what is available at Aramark operated concessions. Joe thought he saw something Arizona Diamondbacks related for ThePenguinAZ, but Joe was imagining things!
