Episode description

On this episode, I begin with a powerful speech by newly elected- Georgia Democratic Senator Raphael Warnock. His speech is about the ongoing assault on voting rights by Republicans.  He refers to it as "democracy in reverse."  After that, I play prescient statements by a Harvard professor about how democracies have died around the world and how the U.S is not immune.  Then, I report on the voter suppression bills promoted and passed by Republicans.  These bills are an attack on Americans' right to vote and a threat to our democratic republic.  Furthermore, I play a segment by CNN Host Don Lemon about the assault on voting rights and how this is Jim Crow, "the jelly beans in a jar of 2021".  Following that segment, there is a TJPS announcement.  Finally, the Last Note is about embattled Republican congressman Matt Gaetz and his refusal to resign despite facing very disturbing allegations of child sex trafficking.  Senator Raphel Warnock Senate Floor Speech- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FSEBAa17xsQ Don Lemon Powerful Segment on the Assualt on Voting Rights- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QhcaAthH96E Check Out My Other Podcast: DISGRACE- anchor.fm/disgrace U.S Presidents- anchor.fm/uspresidents
