Dr. Michael Douvas is an Associate Professor of Medicine in Hematology and Oncology at the University of Virginia School of Medicine. Dr. Douvas received his undergraduate degree in Economics from Princeton University and his MD from the University of Virginia. He completed both his residency in Pediatrics and his fellowship in Adult and Pediatric Hematology/Oncology at the University of North Carolina. Dr. Douvas treats a variety of patients between ages 15-40 for various cancers. He also has been involved in several research publications and clinical trials on leukemia, lymphoma, and sarcoma. Dr. Douvas has been on the Best Doctors in America List from 2013-2020 and took 2nd place for Best Bedside Manner Awards in the OurHealth Charlottesville and Shenandoah Valley Magazine in 2019.
