Dana Robinson is a co-host of the Opt Out Life podcast, a popular podcast about creative hustlers who are living their version of modern success—making money with side gigs and real estate to achieve financial freedom.

Dana took a year off to live in Bali and wrote Opt Out, a book about how to gain financial freedom through side gigs, business, and real estate. Dana has been an active real estate investor for over 15 years and has owned 100 units across multiple properties of various sizes. He has spec’d properties for high rise, rehabbed apartments and increased rent, and owned two property management companies.

He is an attorney and licensed California broker and has handled multimillion dollar deals as broker, as well as on his own behalf. He has a thorough understanding of 1031’s, reverse 1031’s, and both short-term and long-term rental markets. Dana preaches base-hits in real estate as well as business. He often speaks about the drama and costs of operating large multi-family complexes in contrast to owning 4-plexes.
