No Fans Just Friends (February 21, 2020) was a live show hosted by Rāms, a Johannesburg based recording artist. Among friends and loyal supporters, the music man shared insight into his unreleased studio project, Luyanda . On the other side of the CBD, Lebo Mashigo hosted guests at Dassler's for the Photo Booth Party featuring Austin Malema (March 7, 2020). The event is geared towards portrait and music lovers keen to bring their two interests together!

Sundays in Braamfontein are a beloved element of a Johannesburg weekend. This time around, I attended Puma's Select Sundays and the Sunday Edition event in February 2020. These are regular events, happening multiple times throughout the year, however this February I worked my way between both. From the music to the vibes, Sunday Edition and Select Sundays are a good way to spend your Sundays in Braamfontein, Johannesburg.

Back Yard House Party 2020

Backyard Group hosted guests at 285 Ashden Road, Mondeor for the annual Back Yard House Party on January 25, 2020. Their motto, "make noise, not friends" was a leading principle and best scene as people engaged every performing artist regardless of their relationships with others in the crowd. This crowd was alive and well, which was equally met by the performing acts that took the stage. Shout out to Red Bull, Martell, and the Backyard Group for their hospitality and energy!

Afropunk Joburg 2019

Afropunk Joburg returned to Constitution Hill on December 30 & 31, 2019. With international acts like Solange, Miguel, NAO, Goldlink & Masego, among the brilliant local acts of SA, the festival was another event full of vibes.
