SPEAKER 1

This is the Insurance Technology Podcast where we bring interesting people from across the insurance ecosystem to discuss and debate technology's impact on the industry. Join us each episode for insights and best practices from industry stewards and tomorrow's innovators. Now, here's your host, Reid Holzworth.

REID HOLZWORTH

All right, wow. 2021 out the door. What a year? This podcast has been really awesome, a lot of people don't realize that. I've wanted to do something like this for a long time and really what I wanted to do is I wanted to take and bring some of the people that I've gotten to over the years that are just truly innovators in this industry. People that were there from the beginning and all the stories and then also how everybody is so connected and just bring them all together, and we did that.

This podcast is doing that. Starting with Dennis Caucasian and working in David Rowe and Larry Wilson and all of these guys, Jim Hackworth. And this is just the beginning. And then I wanted to take people that are in this industry that what most would consider startups but are really doing it. Doing big things. Not some startup that just came out now has 100 times revenue valuation and all this crazy stuff. I mean stuff's cool too and we'll bring those people on.

But in the beginning, I wanted to bring core insurance technology people, industry people together. Look, if you've listened to a couple of these episodes, and you're listening to this, there's real gold in this. I've had so many people reach out to me and just loving the podcast and say, dude, like I had literally just changed my roadmap because of this episode. I learned things that I didn't know, I found problems that we can solve. That's what's up, that's why I wanted to do this.

There is seriously good stuff in there and look it's a lot of fun too and it's funny like thinking about this and doing a recap. The first couple of episodes, first few episodes, I was like Ricky Bobby, Will Ferrell in my favorite movie Talladega nights. So I was like I don't know what to do with my hands right now. k I was like real stiff and-- but as time went on, it's gotten better. And it's more conversational, we're having more fun. And 2022, we're going to have a lot of fun.

We're going to bring in more of these innovators. More of the OGs, the founders of the industry and we're just going to bring in some cool friction people man. The cool people that are in this industry that you want to get to know. So look stay tuned, it's been a fun ride. I want to thank all of you for listening. I mean it's awesome. I never would have thought that we'd have as many listeners as we have thus far.

I mean this is nerdy, geeky, and sure tech type stuff but there's a lot of us out there. So really cool, thanks again, and stay tuned for some more fun episodes.
