18. Why I Left Islam with Yasmine Mohammed

Yasmine Mohammed is an advocate for the rights of women living in Muslim majority countries as well as those who struggle under religious fundamentalism. She is the founder of Free Hearts Free Minds, which is an organization that provides mental health support for members of the LGBT community and freethinkers living in Muslim majority countries. 

Yasmine works with the Ayaan Hirsi Ali Foundation as an Advisor. As well, she's a member of the prestigious Center for Inquiry (CFI) Speaker’s Bureau. She is also on the Board of Advisors for Humanist Global Charity, an organization that builds secular schools. As well, she is on the Advisory board of Atheists for Liberty.

She is also the author of the incredible book Unveiled: How Western Liberals Empower Radical Islam. Not only is this book brave, but it is also inspirational and enlightening. 

Personal Statement: It is really sad that we live in the freest country in the world, yet are afraid to discuss certain ideas. The fact that Mrs.Mohammed and people like her receive death threats is disturbing and frankly disgusting. We should not be afraid to discuss any topics or hear out any opinions. If someone wants to dispute the points Mrs.Mohammed makes, I would be more than happy to discuss them on my podcast in a respectful manner.
