It's Tuesday and... Órla McGovern is our guest! Órla Mc Govern is an improviser/performer/teacher/writer based in the West of Ireland. She lived and worked in the US for many years (mainly in Seattle), and it was there that her crush with improv turned into a serious relationship. She was a cast member of a number of groups including Seattle goga, Spolin Players, The Seattle Neutrino Project, The Edge, and improvised with more groups including Dead Gentlemen, Jet City Improv, etc. Órla works regularly as an actor and storyteller around the world, and has appeared appear on tons big and little screens & stages over the years.. She writes plays and is currently working on a Children's Book. She teaches an Improv Lab with The Spontaneous Theatre People, and has facilitated workshops at many festivals including in Finland, France, Spain, Sweden, Romania etc. Órla is Artistic Director of The Sky Babies (improv), Moth & Butterfly ( a storytelling/improv collaboration) and is the Co-Director of Improv Fest Ireland, Ireland's only dedicated festival of improvised theatre & comedy.
